I totally agree with realkocur and Rich...this team has defaulted to last year's Renneyhockey.
They will not throw hard slap shots at the net, ( one timers? fuggaddaboudid)

(OK Kotalik and one or two others, but last year's holdovers do not ( or cannot psychologically)

The Islanders are a significantly superior team than this one. They skate hard, press the forecheck, when they dump they go in hard and collect the puck and they usually stand someone in the crease area, and they score. ..( The guy who is most deadly for them in the crease is Matt Moulson) who I have been raving about since opening day. No I'm not an Isles fan ( I'm a long time Ranger fan ( 1949), but I admire and appreciate good hockey when I see it and good coaching when I see it. Rangers have gone back to dumping the puck in and then DRIFTING after it. Rangers coaches seem to have taken a holiday this season, the way these guys coast into corners, and of course LQ makes miraculous save, then gives up soft goals.

I said last season that I thought Orr was their most indispensable player...I still hold to that. Note that I did NOT say most valuable. There is a large difference. What Orr did was unique, and no one else on the team could do it. He's doing it now for the Leafs, and doing it well.
NO ONE on present Rangers has this ability. So odd that they allowed some of their most effective players from last year were let go while the drones were kept aboard. ( refer to Mara Orr Betts and Morris., all cast adrift.)
All of these people were scorned by a number of Rangers fans.

So you've got Renneyhockey revisited. And if LQ had ever been taught and coached in making the stacked pad slide, he would not have let that last goal beat him the other night.

Thanks for passing on the website to watch the game. I live in Maryland and have Directv so I can watch the Ranger games and I was otherwise out of luck because of the Versus/Directv battle.

First post for me, so let me dive right in with a controversial sentiment. While too much cap space is devoted to him, without Drury, I think you can see some of his value in things that don't make the scoresheet. Just sayin.

Listen ,
This Team is a joke; from the GM to Voros - top to bottom Garth Snow has put together a better - tougher, bigger more talented squad.
Tortarella is a loudmouth - media bully / finger pointer.....NOTHING has changed this is Tom Renney 2 folks - in cae you're blind....score a goal or 2 and hope HL stands on his ear ...Disgrace...
Speaking of HL , you think somebody can tell Swedflopalot to stand his ground just a nab longer seeing as he has a worse glove than just about any keeper you can name ....

10th Place and then hopefully Messier rides into town.

not only FIRE SATHER, but NEW OWNERSHIP NOW!!!!! clean slate time in the upper echelons!

All it takes is a few weeks of uptempo, smart play, and we'll be right back in the love stage with this team. We go back and forth all season, every season!
