No call-ups yet (updated)

188

The Rangers say that no call-ups are expected today, but of course there are no games until Thursday (I hate these long breaks).

In case you missed it, Steve Zipay is reporting that Chris Drury is not ruled out of Thursday’s game at this point, and that Lundqvist was among those who did not skate today. Also, he cited sources yesterday as saying Dubinsky has a broken bone in his hand.

I will get over there for some of my own news this week, I promise (I think). (I hope). (I’m guessing). Or maybe to the game Thursday. (Maybe).

————————–

AFTERNOON UPDATE, 1:55 P.M.: Here is the news of the Glencross suspension from TSN.

And we keep hearing that Dubinsky’s broken hand will be a 3-6 week thing. The Rangers have offered nothing, of course.

  1. Thx, Carp for carping me.
Let’s agree not to panic. We don’t need another Sundin saga. Especially with iffy foot at 36. No thanks. Avery can center 3rd line, Grachev comes in. I’ll tell you, this one was a very good game. They did outplay Calgary. And they did mathch them physically for the most part. Yes, Glencross should’ve been difficult to scrape off the ice after that hit, but something tells me that it’s already been discussed in the locker room today.

  2. Jay Riemenschneider on

Closest I’ve ever been to the top!

Glencross should have been pasted. They outplayed Calgary and still lost. Yay. At least the game itself was more entertaining then that nightmare in BC. And they won’t be any worse without Drury IMO but Dubi will be missed for his cycling ability. He can’t finish for crap but he is pretty strong along the boards and occasionally makes a nice pass or two.

  3. REPOST:

Wicky – inregards to your post about the Drury hit being in the 1st minute, it doesn’t matter. The NHL has the Rangers on a close watch after what happened in Vancouver, so if the refs gave someone an instigator or even if the league thought someone was going after Glencross in a cheap way, no matter what time of the game it was in, they’d try to fine/suspend someone and Torts.

It happened to the Flyers a few years ago when they had Downie suspended in the preseason and it just led to more and more fines/suspensions, some of which that weren’t really deserved (Jones hit on Bergeron maybe and a few others).

i agree with all that in no way in disagreeing with myself have i disagreed to re agree with everyone else. lets all just agree to agree ok. 1.1 million for forsturd. no, he wont agree to that, so hopefully sather disagrees with that and agrees to let him come to an agreement with another team with more agreeable terms and conditions. but i do disagree with agreeing with me for the afforementioned proposed 3 million potential contractual agreement. man, this chili is not agreeing with the vodka i drank last night

  5. Hockeyman Rangers on

Why can’t it be, Dubinksy back Thursday and Drury back in 2 to 3 weeks. I was also hoping maybe the hit on Drury would knock some team spirit into him.

  6. Izzy Mandlebaum on

Vodka and Chili? Sounds like Russian Roulette if you ask me. It’s bound to go off sooner or later…

  7. Hockeyman
So you want the hit to instill team spirit into Drury. Don’t worry, that will happen when he sees the video of how his team stood up for him after the hit………..Oh wait, never mind.

Think what you will about Drury, his poor play and his contract, but the non-retaliation was sad.

  8. UES/CT Blue,

While Oduya did go after Drury right after that intentional knee on Knee…drury crawled up like in a little ball and didnt get any payback for trying to take out the Devils Number one Defenseman Intentially… so im missing your point? The hit on Drury was soft and its unfortunate he got injured… In my opinion if you guys are calling for a suspension for the Flame, then Drury should have been suspended for much longer then you want the Flame to be suspended. So again, what goes around comes around, and Drury 100% deserved this. Just like when Avery goes down, he will 10000000% deserve it. He craws up like a little ball just like Drury did and never gets whats coming to him.

  9. UES/CT Blue,

Lets not forget, according to all NHL players Scott Stevens was a clean player, and all of those famous hits were clean hard hockey hits. He had 1 Elbowing penalty in his Entire HOF career. I’m sorry Ranger fans can’t appreciate good hard clean hits. Your used to Brash, Avery and Domi.

  10. Devils 11-4?
Without Madden and Gionta and with NUMEROUS injuries??
    how is this possible?

    LOU LAMORIELLO!

    rangers on the otherhand?
    hahahahahahahahahahahhahaahah!
what a joke this franchise is!

    1994 Forever!
Laugingstock Forever! (until sather passes or dolan sells maybe) but still

    LAUGINGSTOCK FOREVER!

  11. This team is a bunch of pussies! Except maybe for Voros and Beyer. But if Voros was on the ice he would have went after him but more than likely would have been beaten up. Dane should have made it his mission to show what he has while up here but I think that fine and suspension made him another wuss.I have to admit I was one of the few who liked the brash signing but after watching his fights he is not the same fighter at all.He dances more than punches and he hasn’t won a fight yet in a Ranger jersey,I am sure he would have gone after someone if he were dressed but he wasn’t and no one else had the balls to do it sad very sad..Now I am rethinking my view and unless he starts pounding some people it was a terrible signing and a wasted 1.5 million!!!! For all those that say no you shouldn’t go after the culprit or a star on the other team i say your mommies are calling you. You too are wussies and don’t know what it means to respond when a team mate is cheap shotted. If it’s not in you it’s not in you and I’m afraid most on this team it’s not in them and that sucks!!!!!!!

  13. Can we assume the total silence from the league since Saturday means the hit from Glencross isn’t even getting reviewed?

I’m not exactly surprised, but there were a rash of incidents a couple of weeks ago that each got a review publicised, even if no suspension resulted. Why is this different?

Definition of a NJ Devil Fan Troll:

An individual who contributes negative and deragatory remarks towards the fan base of an opposing team (any team other than the Devils)to a message, blog or other public forum for the sole purpose of trying to and/or antagonize and irritate said fan base.

Reasons for “Devil Trolling” as laid out in this study are said to be lack of social interaction, low self esteem, impotence, obesity, isolation, lack of friendship, mother-son issues (as related to Freudian or Oedipis Complex) attention seeking, as well as prolonged periods of self abuse(i.e. masturbation)

Individuals such as these are only satiated or temporarily satisfied while in the act of demeaning or belittling aforemetnioned opposing fan base(s) even when such attmepts are without merit or supported by statistcal and/or analytical fact.

Cures for such individuals are not at this time in existence, and the only remedey for such a fan base suffering from one of the “Devil Trolls” is only known to come in one form.
The remedy or antdote to these indivudals is in a form of language or phrase that they have absolutely no knowledge of, been privy too, and or to intelectually inept to understand as not being a member of said fan base.

    Ranger Fans to Devil Troll:

    GO GET YOUR SHINEBOX!!!!!

  15. Can we assume the total silence from the league since Saturday means the hit from Glencross isn’t even getting reviewed?

    ***

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if the NHL is trying to mute the press on this subject. They’ve been getting pretty heavily criticized about their failure to crackdown on these types of hits. Honestly though an effort to minimize these hits should come from both the league and the players union.

  16. If Drury plays on Thursday, I’d advise the majority of Rangers fans to watch the game on mute…the MSG propaganda machine will go into overdrive as a result of the praise that Drury will get just for playing (for reference, see the playoff series vs. Washington, where they did everything but give Captain Clutch a purple heart for playing hurt even though he was a complete liability every time he was on the ice)…Joe Micheletti will say the words “heart”, “character” and “leader” about 1000 times before the game even starts, and he might even use this occasion to make his mancrush on Drury public

to be honest, although I don’t wish any harm on him, I was definitely looking forward to seeing this team play without Drury…this injury could’ve been the last bit of evidence that cemented his worthlessness to this team…Torts would’ve thrown another body out there in his spot on the PK, and other than that, who would’ve even noticed that Captain Invisible and his “little things” were missing? no one noticed in Calgary when the Rangers played arguably their best 60 minute game of the season without him

nice job once again on that full no-movement clause Slats…you would think that $35 million total/$7 million per year would’ve be enough to get Drury to play for his “favorite team”

  17. A thought…

While I don’t have a huge problem with the one-ice officials relative to most people, in cases like this – where a player has been suspended after not being penalised at all during the game – I’d be in favour of referees getting suspended for as long as the suspended player, unless there is a clear reason the incident could’ve been missed.

So, Saturday’s refs have to sit out their next three scheduled games and the refs from the Brashear/Betts game would’ve had to miss as many as Brashear did.

  19. Good that Glencross got suspended, but I don’t know about 3 games. I was going to say 1 or 2. Either way not a big deal. NHL said it was a shoulder to the head.

  20. Shoulder, stick, arm, head-doesn’t matter. It’s still a hit to the head. Hence- dirty. It’s a good response by NHL, that needs to be eliminated. Too many careers cut short, too many young people suffer for life. It’s a beautiful sport, no need for that.

“This team is a bunch of pussies!”

I couldn’t agree with you more Vince. Somebody cheap shots your captain, he has to pay. I will always love the Rangers but they’ve been a bunch of wimps the last few years. From Hank getting barreled into every game to Drury, there is nothing stopping other teams from continuing this crap.

  22. …….

    This.

  23. I agree, if Dreary plays, Micheletti, and Rosen are gonna be going nuts over everything he does. I can already hear them saying “Look at him chew that mouth piece, right after he takes a hit to the head, he’s such a hard worker, and a real good guy”. Then Maloney joins in with the constant stuttering

    Fuggin MSG.

  24. With all these injuries and talks of who to bring, I mentioned the relic’s name once before this season and now that Captain Concussion & Dubie are out what about the return of Brendan Shanahan?

  25. Carp…I think we should all be allowed to imposter the local idiot

    And…
I totally agree that a suspension was necessary, but the NHL is so pathetically inconsistant, how did this hit deserve a suspension but Richards hit on Booth didn’t warrent one…what?
Fine Booth had the puck but it was still a hit to the head.

  26. Grachev needs one more year in Hartford 22figure8, they need a veteran if not shanny then someone else other than going with Brashear or Voros.

  27. Grachev is not ready and besides he would of been called already instead of Byers or Parenteau

  28. Shanny???!!!yeah right!
Give me a break, the only player he can *almost* keep up with is Voros
Grachev is an upgrade over Shanny.
The suggestion is laughable, but is it laughable to Sather?

I say not since he was interested in Forsberg

  30. Salty – Did you mean to write *heart* this?

Since sec91 brought it up anyway, would you rather have Nylander than Drury right now? After seeing them both play for the last two seasons, I would.

I know we shouldn’t take any lessons from the Mets, but one of the things they did wrong could help here. I thought it was a bad idea to fly players long distances following a concussion based on the results from Ryan Church. Couldn’t/shouldn’t we have left Drury behind in Calgary for a day or two?

  31. Drury DESERVED this hit and a lot more for trying to take our Paul martin’s knee… WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.
also I seem to remember Oduya sticking up for Martin in less then 5 seconds…attacking Dreary..

The rangers sticking up for their captain?
    NON EXISTANT

So pathetic on SO MANY LEVELS.

  32. Staalwart,
I just don’t see Brash or Voros as replacements for Drury and Dubie.
    Heck, bring back Nylander

  33. I hope Drury takes his time coming back.
I had a concussion and it took me two years before I recovered, granted I was forty-four when it happened but it is nothing to poke fun of.

  34. I’ll be at MSG Thursday, so no Sam and Joe talking about Drury for me. I’ll be surprised if Drury plays Thursday, though. With his history of prior concussions, you could see he was frightened.

CCCP- how do you come across this stuff? I need a diaper…Too bad there is no way to translate that.

  35. There are about 135 free agents I’d rather sign before Brendan Shanahan right now. I’d almost rather see Steve McKenna out there at this point because he’d be just as effective…and he can’t even stand up on his skates.

  36. Devils are 11-4 People!
What heart they are showing the world…with all these injuries..losing Gionta and Madden to free agency?? How does this consistantly happen? The answer?

    LOU LAMORIELLO

    compared to

    GLEN SATHER

    hahahahahaha

  37. STAAL

I wasn’t really bad mouthing him. He’s a goofy mudder fugger, but he’s hilarious. I wish he was a part of every game, instead of those weekend home games, or what ever. You know, when he’s between benches.

    Funny guy.

It was real stroke of genius, man. Kudos to you. Didn’t enjoy such a good writing in awhile where the form and substance are in harmony. Thanks.

  39. Pavelich

I definitely saw MacGratton skating around in the warm ups between periods fully dressed to play.

He may not have gotten on the ice, but he was out there.

Another thing I don’t understand….I admit that it was a lifetime ago since I played this game, but I was astonished when I saw those tiny little cuffs on the player gloves nowadays, and there was many a time when I was glad to have the long cuffs on mine. They never interfered with the stick handling of the star players of old, and now and then I’d get a stroke across the forearm, and felt it even with those great cuffs, but those small ones now leave almost the entire wrist exposed.

  40. oh,,,one more thing….Wouldn’t it be a good idea to have the helmets padded on the outside, to save broken hands during scraps? Many guys will not drop the helmet ( like Asham and a few other honest bangers), and smashing into those sharp edged helmets and masks is a very good way to go on sick and hurt list.

  41. 1994 Forever!
    Pathetic Organization Forever!
    No guts. No glory.
How do you not protect your captain??
    UNBELIEVABLE

  42. 3 games for an intentional hit to the head that results in a concussion…and yet Avery got 6 games for the sloppy seconds comment, plus the behavior program. Nice to see Bettman and the NHL have their priorities in order.

Does someone know what would happen if, let’s say, Drury was forced to retire because of the concussions? Would his salary be wiped off the books due to the circumstances, or would we still be on the hook for all/some? This obviously won’t actually happen, but I’m just curious about the rule in such a situation.

  43. Adam,,

Are you kidding? This is where prior history comes into play. Avery thinks he is bigger then the league and calls his own press conference to bash a woman. Nothing to do with hockey.

The flame guy has no prior record and barely touched that heartless Dreary. The only thing more heartless then Dreary is the Entire Rangers Organization.

I can’t beleive notbody on the Rangers stood up for their captain!!!
remember when Dreary went Knee on Knee with the Devils Paul Martin? He was jumped immediatly by oduya.

    RANGERS HAVE NO HEART

  44. Adam Z- it should’ve been 3 games and a visit to a plastic surgeon for nose adjustment this am. Didn’t happen.

If Drury is forced to retire because of injury, he collects on his insurance and his salary is off the books.

  45. Feeding the troll, I know, but have to get this out.

I was at the Devil’s vs. Islanders game on Friday night. My son played in between periods for Mites on Ice. The place was absolutely EMPTY. At least by 2/3. The guy sitting near me, who is a season ticket holder, said it only gets full when they play us or the Flyers, and that they can’t score to save their lives. Yes they won, but just barely. On another note, one of my neighbors who came with us (all 200+ of us) asked me to count the banners hanging (saying they have more than the Rangers). Yeah, they might…but what good are they if there’s nobody there to appreciate them? The place and the organization are pathetic in every sense of the word. Beautiful arena going to waste on a waste of a team that can’t draw a fan in to save itself.

  46. Introduction to the Power Rankings from the hockey news:

Just imagine what’s going to happen when the New Jersey Devils start winning at home.

The Devils, who started the season with consecutive losses in their home rink, are 8-0-0 on the road and have won five straight. However, they remain a game under .500 with a 3-4-0 record in their own building.

Coach Jacques Lemaire has New Jersey playing the kind of sound defensive hockey everybody expected when he returned east to once again coach the team he guided to a Stanley Cup in 1995.

Zach Parise is driving the offense with seven goals and 17 points through 15 games. Center Travis Zajac, meanwhile, continues his progression and is nearly a point-per-game player (13 in 15) to start the year.

A franchise that’s always about the collective ahead of individuals will have to suck it up and celebrate some isolated achievements as GM Lou Lamoriello enters the Hockey Hall of Fame Monday in the builders category, while all-world goalie Martin Brodeur is just one shutout from tying former Wings great Terry Sawchuk for the all-time lead at 103.

Secondly who the fcuk cares? Typical Ranger fan. Wow you average 2,000 more people a night. You play in a city of 8,000,000 people.

    Loser.

  48. Ilb, thanks…I’d he shocked if he played Thursday, from a health standpoint.

Somebody in football or hockey is going to die sooner or later from all these hits to the head. It’s amazing that neither league gives this issue close to the attention it deserves.

What do you expect for a traveling team with no Tradition 2 years ago they were from the East Rutherford, NJ, and before that they were known as the Colorado Rockies and before that they were the Kansas City Scouts.

Its just a matter of time before they move again hopefully out of the tri-state area.

Greatest comment from Wayne Gretzky about the Debbies “Well, it’s time they got their act together, folks. They’re ruining the whole league. They had better stop running a Mickey Mouse organization and put somebody on ice” I could just hear the theme song :

Where in jersey are you from? Was your Daddy a Rangers fan? I know your son’s daddy is a Ranger fan, which is why your a Ranger Fan.

Yaaaay im a ranger fan. My daddy was a ranger fan and his daddy was a ranger fan..so we have more fans then the Devils..but the devils always make the playoffs and have won three stanley cups since….but its ok. My daddy was a ranger fan so I’m a Ranger fan.

  55. Okay Carp,

How much is too much? I don’t mind having to skim through a couple posts a day from morons who don’t know jack about actually playing hockey but the Local Fan guy is getting to be too much. My appetite to even bother reading the comments is severely diminished with this guy trying to stir the pot all day.

    Thank you, come again.

  56. This should be interesting with bringing some new kids up. Dubi should be fine its not a serious injury like an ACL. I wouldnt minde Forsberg for the year see if he has antyhing left in the tank. By the way local fan. Do you have a life. Pretty tough on the internet boss.

  57. Patrick,

  58. JJP,

If you were offended by that then whoever wrote that shoul be banned. It was not be, it was an imposter. So it came from one of you guys. i would never say something like that.

Carp this is getting effin ridiculous having to see this moronic BS.
Killing my desire to even come here anymore.

My daddy does not like the Rangers. He used to follow the Islanders a bit but being from jersey and how good the Devils are he converted. And I have always been a devils fan. All the players live in my town and were always great to us. Opening up their houses when the Stanley Cup was there on Several Ocasions.
Growing up a Devils fan was Great. And my kids will enjoy it too. And their kids. Tradition comes with time..and we are well on the way.

  61. FiveFootZero – Have you been to MSG? The Rangers have more banners than the Devils unless you are talking about division wins (which the Rangers have a decent amount of). 4 Cups vs. 3 Cups and 8 retired jerseys vs. 2 retired jerseys.

  62. if some of you just ignored “it”… there be no lost desire to come here…

But i am all for pulling the plug on “it” already.

  63. He said something defamatory about someone’s kid. That’s in the terms of service. Give him the match penalty Carp.

btw it isn’t all about winning and banners son. It’s about loyalty when you’re a fan. And it’s spelled laughing, not lauging.

    Moron.

  64. Funny that nothing new is being said by him and yet he gets to you every time. If everyone was able to just scroll through his idiotic crap, we could have much better real hockey conversation in a much more compressed space. Saves some energy too. Let’s go green!

  65. If Drury is forced to retire because of injury, he collects on his insurance and his salary is off the books.

Well, I guess the first since Hollweg took a high-strike swing to the grill and Prucha won that game on the Major PP late… and Hollweg went unhurt (still amazing). The point being this, if Drury plays Thursday then Glencross should not receive that bonus check Sather offered him. Definitely not.

  71. I cant do nothin for you, man on

ignoring “it” clearly doesnt work CCCP so you can stop suggesting that

  72. True Fans Bleed RW&B on

Why do you guys just ignore “it?” “its” like that little spot that oozes white fluid from your… and you fail to go see the doctor and then you, after you’ve neglected treatment, realize that the Jersey chick who was all up in your grill wasn’t actually a chick… but a dude who shared something between you and the Great goalie of the Devils. That’s what I call “It.” We’re just 1 degree from an NHL hall of famer fella’s! …it just so happens that that one degree tends to hang out we’re Brodeur’s body is 2 degrees cooler. Oh well…

    Pavel

    excellent reagan quote!!

    Patrick

I just couldn’t resist the PAP smeared comment!

    Jonny

I actually do not remember making that comment from your last thread post, but I have made many regarding this spineless team after the calgary incident, so thank you for the info though!

  74. I have no problem reading who posted and skipping over what they have written. What i do have an issue with is how 30 percent of a NY RANGERS HOCKEY BLOG can be brought down into a pissing contest over one persons comments. Yes there are several posts in a row, begging for attention. Having raised 3 kids and spent the last 15-20 years in the military making men of children, I could offer some great insight on how to handle children with this issue. Unfortunately, I am far to disgusted with myself for even posting this much attention towards one person. I have indeed stopped reading this blog on several occasions just because the comments ceased to be about Rangers Hockey and more about… you get it. I dont care if ALF gets banned, I dont care if you ignore ALF or not. Sooner or later the rules will be enforced and it will be more than just one person getting banned. then what. this isnt a democracy with regard to the rules. If you break them, you will be banned. I recommend enforcing the rules across the board.

P.S. Shoryuken on Wade Redden please correct my spelling. thx

  75. wicky229(this team is spineless) on

Can’t remember who posted the sabres sens youtube link a couple threads ago and how the sabres responded to the drury hit by neil. No wonder they beat us in the playoffs that year, they had something we didn’t, heart and courage!!!!

Back to work, I hope everyone has an “anti-rozy and an anti-cally” day!!!

  76. JJP, the obscene comments were posted by an imposter Local Fan.

Imposter: I know who you are and you will be banned the next time.

And the rest of you guys, why can’t you just ignore him? If he crosses the line even by a centimeter, he’s out.

  77. I watched that clip of the Sabres-Sens, a big difference is that Ruff put his enforces on the ice (Kaleta and Peters). Unfortunately the Rangers have a pretty ineffective enforcer in Voros and one that’s never healhty in Brashear.

I’ve heard the arguments that the Pens and Wings don’t have much in the way of formal enforcers but the still win. They also tend to have more skill than most of the teams they face. The Rangers don’t have that luxury so their talent and leaders should be protected.

  78. Rick (No, not that one) on

Nice timing by Mr.Arnason to get himself suspended by the team. Moron.
    …As per Zipay.

  79. Carp,

I have been trying very hard to stay within the lines!
I Do get a little agitated when ranger fans can only come back with the fact they have more fans. I guess more fans is better then winning in their eyes.

“Imposter: I know who you are and you will be banned the next time.”

  80. ” If he crosses the line even by a centimeter, he’s out.”

    …..

lets hope “it” forgets to bring the ruler next time.

  81. Local, I’m going to break my own promise and acknowledge that you even exist just for a moment, to tell you that you annoy me, too, and that I am getting sick of you coming on here just to stir it up, and I’m thinking of banning you just because.

  82. Carp,

I follow the rules. This is a blog. People have different opinions. I see no difference with this and other teams fans coming into a road building trying to stir up the home fans. I’m sorry if I annoy you, but the point is this is a blog and if people don’t like what I say they should take your advise and ignore me. I’ll finish with how I started, I follow the rules.

  83. George Mividie on

accoding to sports insiders the new york rangers just traded ryan callahan, marc staal ,and corey potter to dallas for brad richards and 2 undisclosed draft picks

  84. rick throw the devil troll out of here. you keep threatening to as well as enforce language used by others. you fail to deliver what you promise. are you that concerned with hits to your site. if so just say anything goes and see what happens. you’ll probably get 2,000 comments per thread.

  85. Im so F”n sick of the rangers the always get rid of their good youth now that they traded Cally ans Staal to dallas According to that guy that posted it.

  86. WOW. If that is true.. I need a minute to grasp that.

Shoryuken on Wade Redden,,, wasnt meant to be anything but funny… saw you correct a few and.. well.. just a shout out i guess.

  87. I had to go to Europe cause i had a hard time holding onto the soap after a game, while in the shower. Mr. Henley made me pay for that, time after time. Im sore, and i cant deal with this any longer.

They don’t do this in Europe, so im going there, and im never coming back the play hockey here in America, or Canada !

Goodbye. I hope Brian Boyle is happy, stealing MY SPOT !

  88. If the Rangers call up a center to replace the injured it will be Cory Locke.
He is having a great start. Grachev, by the way, has 12 pts in 14 games. Reasonable to see him called up. Doubt Richards trade is true, do not see it on TSN.

  89. too bad we talk all this crap (not carp) about our local idiot.
Hall of fame tonight on NHL network – one of our own gets inducted. BRAVO to Brian Leetch !!

  90. Staal- close enough, except Avery’s contract would fit right into the devils cap. Richards’- not so much.

  91. Izzy Mandlebaum on

WEhen two first time nobodies post a major trade (like George Mividie and Leetchy HOF) the next thing to do is check your wallet, cause someone is trying to pull a fast one.

    Patrick, you are so right…

  92. Yeah I just checked tsn & zip. People who post bogus rumors should get a slap shot in the gut. Tony, you never know with Sather.

  93. ZzZz NYR ZzZz " Calling all centers ,report to the Rangers front office... !!!!"... says Greg L. on

OK OK ,THE LINE GETS DRAWN WHEN YOU COME ON HERE AND CALL THE RANGERS PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!

I love this team Carp…if you don’t ban this dweeb soon , then i’m not gonna be responsible for what I say to him. IT is bad edicut to slander my team on OUR blog..I don’t care if this is a blog…it’s our Ranger blog..if ANYONE steps on OUR LOGO…IM GONNA FREAK OUT..just warning you Carp…cuz ,all I’ve read has me seeing red.

BTW , I do also agree with CCCP for agreeing with Salty agreeing with Jlone ,inwhich patrick and wickey agrees as well as Banj did too having Carp agree as well.

  94. ZzZz NYR ZzZz " Calling all centers ,report to the Rangers front office... !!!!"... says Greg L. on

Maybe you could send your nieces and nefews to the store …So I can ghave a piece with him.

I did see a swear with the letters mix up slightly by someone who was warned…that calls for a banning doesn’t it Mr Carp ? We were all warned.

  95. I nominate Salty’s 4:22 post as POST OF THE YEAR! OMG thankfully its quiet at work right now!!

  96. Gravey - Formerly known as Jor71 on

Carp, he/she did violate the TOS. If memory serves me correctly, you stated previously if the person even implies a word, he/she can be banned.

Look at the “November 9th, 2009 at 3:40 pm” post (and I am sure it was him/her).

The person put the letter “c” in the wrong spot. If I am wrong, my apology.

  97. Gravey - Formerly known as Jor71 on

NYRguy, COD 2, really??? How is it? I am getting it tomorrow…can’t wait!!

  98. Gravey - Formerly known as Jor71 on

Sorry ZZzzzz, I just noticed you posted the same thing about the shine-box kid.

  99. Linda- yeah, it was a good one. I’ll tell you, if local fan gets banned by Carp, the whole food shortage in the world would be history.

  100. linda that post was far from post of the year. you should know better you’re here all the time.

  101. Johnny D: Yes, I have been there. I have season tix in the blues going on 8 years! I was just stating what my neighbor was trying to convince me of. Again, no worries, it’s ALL good.

Whats all this about Cally & Staal?

  102. COD 2 is awesome…I’ve had it since Thursday night…pretty sick stuff already in Campaign mode and I’m only a few into it

  103. Ok just checking. I’m in 343 btw.

Also, this trade isn’t real. Just think about it. We have only 6 d-men, so we trade 2 d-men (1 in the minors) and a forward, which we are short of already and our assistant captain for Brad Richards who I believe is still out injured. Hilarious trade rumor.

  104. Thanks guys…whew…quick read of that and my heart dropped (cause in the back of my mind it seems like it could happen with Slats at the helm). Slow connection here…so a little late to respond. And BTW, I’m a woman…and yes, that’s how tall I am!

  105. Hi Ladies
I say the move Gilroy, or D.Z. up front, and bring up Sangs and Parenteau. Prospel and Avery can play center. We might be suprised at the outcome.

  106. It’s funny reading the chest-beating posts from that Devils fan. Some of what he’s saying is correct – as usual, the Devils are playing very well and doing so with minimal talent.

The key there is minimal talent and as has happened the last few years, once again this spring, the New Jersey Devils will flame out early in the POs when talent level becomes all encompassing. Overall, Fat Lou has an enviable track record as a GM, but if you score only the past few years, not so much. He’s drafting has been mediocre at best and that’s what ultimately sustains a franchaise.

So Devils fan, gloat all you want – now’s the time because when things really count, you’ll no doubt have little to make all your silly noise about.
