That Canucks game was a dead giveaway. this team has regressed and defaulted back to the Renneyites of yesteryear, and no one seems to have noticed it. They dump dump dump and skate cautiously in and watch the opponent skate it back out and then they much around in their end for long minutes while Goaltender goes nuts, ( and dishes off rebounds like candy canes). Then when they charge into enemy end, they scrum along the boards ( never a threat to take a shot on goal), and they rummage on the right side boards and then behind the net, and then the left boards til they are all exhausted ( never a shooter standing in front of the net,( like the real teams do) and then wonder why they don't score. Hell, they don't even shoot! The hooking penalty champs are out in full regalia ( Roszival and Higgins). Lazy legs. Where went the razzle dazzle hell for leather skating and relentless forecheck of that first week? Gone with the wind. Now it's more like tip toe thru the tulips. I keep wondering if I'm not watching re runs of last season before Torts aqrrival. Something dynamic has to change preety bloody quick if they're not gonna watch the Isles smoke by them. Don’ you see what is happening here?

Taking Steve's thoughts on Gretz, I gotta say I feel pretty lucky to have been able to see some pretty tremendous athletes in my sports loving days. For someone to have that much vision, that much skill and talent, and to be on such a public stage as sports(or music), sharing their gifts with the world, you just have to respect them, even if they're not on your favorite team or in your favorite band! ...and the foot tapping connnnnnnnnntinuuuuuuuues~
