North and Westward ho!
Laurel here: OK, no jokes heads, alright. It’s just a saying. Anyway, Carp may chime in with post-game notes, but for now, you can watch Torts post-game here. Or check out the game story recap here. By the way, if you read the last link, curious what you think about the list of Rangers “leaders” on the right. It’s stat based, but look who’s first…..On to Tuesday.
P.S. I can’t believe nobody made a Dr. Seuss reference to that Habs uniform. Or did I miss it?

Argh!!
Argh!!!
Is that a pirate refrence?
Needs more “r”. Arrrrrrrrgh, matey!
No, more Charlie Brown/kite in tree frustration than Johnny Depp.
It’s good to see Hank finally get a shut out. It was a nice win.
I just hope Blowzy, and Dreary miss some games. Id rather see the prospects play. And it was great to not see Brash*t, the all mighty enforcer, who’s a hall of fame hockey player.
Made me reeeeeal happy !
Question – If Gaborik only plays in 60 games this year, will his contract be worth it? (I know his contract is for five years but lets just take it one year at a time.)
I’ll take those 60 wins :)
Laurel
yes someone made a Dr. Seuss reference LOL
That Kotalik has some big forearms no? =P
I hear Chara’s 6’9…...Ok heads, happy day, and good night. MAKO, you’re my new standby “enforcer” :)
Ok my bad Mike. It was Lisin he was talking about (who took the shot off of the foot). Torts said “lis” I didnt even hear it LOL Sorry….
HAHAHHAHA Anytime Laurel ;) flexing
Laurel, he’s been our steadiest dman for awhile. He deserves the icetime.
Bring back Prucha- yes.
Mako- Boyle’s body is thicker
ilb, just pointing it out since folks here have strong feelings about him….thought is was interesting. You want to take me on and never get Leo on sister blog again :)
OK, really, I turn the keys to the blog over to MAKO :) until Carp gets back….ilb, meow :)
I have been praising Redden most of the early season for his play. He has improved significantly and even though they lost the other night, it was probably in his top 5 of his best games as a Ranger (I think there are only 5 LOL) With his best being his 3 assist night. Im happy for him that he found his “game” still isnt worth the money. If he was making $2-$3mm he’d be perfect.
I was glad to see that Zip mentioned something about Torts complaints about the officiating. On a similar note, the refs made a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD call just now against the Caps. WOW why are they so inconsistent with their calls.
WOW Im honored Laurel :)
MAKO! Beer Run!!!!
Shotgun!!!!
Izzy
Im going to steal the Clutch Mobile!! I heard it was a Cadillac!!!!! We’ll play MACHO HEAD GAMES with Captain Clutch!!!
I always pictured the clutchmobile as being as inflated as the captain’s contract. It must be a Zeppelin…
I always imagined the clutch mobile similar to the pope-mobile, but with a little more juice because that’s Drury’s style (gulp).
LMAO! True true…. “OHHHHHH THE HUMANITY!!! ”
I guess this is what I imagined… sorta

If Capt. Clutch is standing in the back, who’s driving? Renney?
That shot Drury took on the hand was CLUTCH right there, no?
Some game! Columbus won in overtime. Ovechkin left in 2nd with shoulder injury. That bounce from the board right in front of the net reminded me the game against the Rangers in Washington a few years ago. Strange…
Laurel, something tells me you’re still here.
LOL Love the title of the tab on NHL.com. “Coming up CLUTCH”.
I’m not going to defend Drury. He’s going to have to score at Gaborik’s to jusify his contract at the moment. Not going to happen. But his role on the team changed. And it takes a man to block the shot the way he does. Over and over again. Or, perhaps it takes stupidity. But he is trying.
Gaborik’s pace- I’m sure you got it.
Captain Broken Clutch
Captain burned out clutch.
Ilb, only the high profile players don’t block shots nowadays… Jagr, Gaborik, Kovalchuk, etc… and most of them don’t have to anyway becuase they can’t play PK time. The rest of the NHL DOES so i’m not giving him credit for it, especially when I guy like Betts makes a 600K career out of being one of the best at it.
