Gaborik speaks

July
2

Sorry, I wasn’t there to hear it … but my buddy Andrew Gross was, so you can all go over to his blog and read about it … provided you promise to come back here.

Just kidding.

Here’s what some people don’t seem to be considering: what if Dubinsky becomes a 25-30 goal scorer, maybe 65 points a year. And Heatley is out there scoring 40-50 goals and 90-odd points for the next 6-7 years? Would you still be OK not trading him then?

I know these things are hard to predict, but that’s why Sather gets the big bucks from Cablevision.

I’m honestly 50-50 on trading him.

    *just win.

  4. BANJ

Did anyone ask Gabs why he was involved in Iran Contra?

  5. Who Needs Lohan

I think we may have done ourselves some good folks! Have a great weekend all.

  6. Who Needs Lohan

    or about the 14 inches?

I feel pretty confident in our group of Centers. Honestly, I think Dubinsky is ready to step up and be the #2 Center on this team. I think the Rangers should go and get Tanguay to play on a line with Drury (like the old Avalanche days) and put Gaborik on a line with Dubinsky.

I’d still like to trade Rozy and maybe re-sign Mara and let the kids fill the rest in.

    Callahan – Drury – Tanguay
    Zherdev – Dubi – Gaborik
    Avery – AA – Higgins
    Korpi – Boyle – Brashear

    Girardi – Staal
    Redden – Mara
    Sangs/Gilroy/Sauer/Potter—- any combo would do??

I hope Gaborik stays healthy… he averages what? 60 games a season… and he puts up great numbers… in an offensive system if he can stay healthy this could be good…

I think Gaborik will be fine .. he played 77 games in 2007-2008.

I think he knew he wasnt gonna resign this year with Minn, and decided to opt for surgery to insure his health for his new team this year … if thats the case it was a brilliant move on his part and we are in a great position moving forward

PLUS, he has 59 career PP Goals out of 219 total goals … Our PP just got a lot better

    Shoryukin,

I’d be ok with Dubi scroing 60 and Heatly scoring 95 if we win the cup :) I still say you need a few of those Dubi type players on your team, and he’s STILL a kid.

Does Tanguay have anything left? He did have a decent, but short season last year. Not a goal scorer, but he seems like a decent setup guy. But not at the expense of giving a younger guy a chance.

the hip stuff he got done should hopefully fix the rest of the problems

the other problems may have stemmed from the bad hip

I have been away, hospitalized for the last couple of months, so I am sure this question has been asked more than enough times, but since I have not been around for the answer I have to ask. Can anyone tell me why Mr. Voros is still in the line up? How does he fit in to a high speed non stop outfit like Torts wants to run.

  20. theflynn

i’VE GOT TO TELL YOU HOCKEYMON, THAT IS THE SAME QUESTION THAT i’VE BEEN ASKING. iN FACT i WAS ASKING IT ALONG ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF LAST SEASON.
