Carp, Jane & Laurel you rock! Thanks for the best Rangers blog on the planet. I am as excited about Chris as when the Rangers selected Leetch. He has a similar rep. I was very skeptical when Leetch was selected from HS but optimistic but look how that turned out. The fact That Kreider is from such a similar circumstance and selected so soon after Brian's HOF selection is uncanny. I will try to keep my enthusiasm bridled. I am just excited to get a extremely fast skater who seems to have more scoring skills than Rico Fata.

According to Zipay, Sather wouldnt include Staal in deal for heatley and that was the sticking point. Sather seen having long talks with Burke and Canes Rutherford today..Maybe hes looking for someone to dump Rosi on before he heads back for another run at heatley

Jay Bouwmeester's days in Florida are over.

The Panthers have traded the 25-year-old star defenceman's rights to the Calgary Flames for blueliner Jordan Leopold and a third round pick.

If you watch the interview with Sather and Clark,it is obvious that they believe he is an elite talent. I also would not at all be surprised if he does well at B.C.,that he is either sugned for the stretch run or for 2010-11. He certainly has the size and speed. There are still several good quality players that are available. I counted at least 10-12 that I'd be happy with. just don't want to see a goalie until at least the 5th round. This team needs wingers badly who can score.

As for Heatley, Murray must ne smoking something if he thinks antone else will give him anything remotly close to what the Ducks got for Pronger. I still can't believe the Flyers made that deal for a 35 year old dman on the downside of his career with only one year left on his contract, simply astounding!
