NBC got it right, or lucky

I’m sure you all have thoughts, as I know we’ve all discussed NBC hockey coverage. I would like to think this has less to do with NBC and more with the Cup finals. You all be the judge, as I know you can. Read the news after the jump:

  1. So, what else was on TV Friday night? I think a lot of those viewers tuned in to see their regular shows, but were too annoyed or discouraged to turn the channel when they saw hockey instead. Bettman should hold off his celebration; a handful of games on free TV every year is simply not going to grow the sport. I know I would have never been a hockey fan if I didn’t get to watch Rangers and Islanders regularly on WOR-TV in the early 80s.

Thanks Tony. Nope, no relation. If there was I surely would have parlayed that into some tix.

Ok, Adam, Ok…sorry. I’m used to doing that on my other blog. No more, I promise!

  5. I watched the Ranger’s win the cup AGAIN the other night on MSG and had an Idea. I was thinking of getting myself hypnotized to go back to the night of the game and watch it AGAIN for the first time…….

    Think it’ll work????????????

Shit this started out to be a joke,But I think I’m gonna do it.

  6. Staal is the one who was drinking Sparkling Cidar. Oh wait, no didn’t he get arrested for drinking ?

And im sure he was drunk when he took that picture of himself in a tyutin.

  7. tutu, i mean.

Someone showed me a pic of it on some website, it might have been hockeybuzz. Also, there was a topless pic of Marc Staal, for all you groupie Ranger fans out there.

Some people will complaint about the most ridiculous sh.t!

IT’S THE OFF SEASON!! Be happy anything here gets updated…

  9. Im a fan of the “Read after the jump” when it’s on nudie sites. It’s exciting, like on egotastic.com, they have little stars on the nips, and other fun areas. It’s nice, it’s like a penalty shot in OT, very dramatic.

  10. I was in Boston this weekend….
I saw a girl in a bruin shirt crying over by the Tea party boat…
I said Its Ok..you have a good young team; they’ll be challeging for years to come…

She said “Shut up idiot! my boyfriend just broke up with me!!”

  11. this is what the rangers need:

    Taylor Doherty, D, Kingston Frontenacs

At 6-8 and 225 pounds, Doherty is a Chara-size slab of defensive granite. He plays up to his size, too. He’s a physical pounder who’s not afraid to drop the mitts, and he’s a surprisingly strong skater. His skills are still raw, though, making him the draft’s most intriguing project.

  12. “But does he play defense?”

No no …the boyfriend worked as a fake indian on the Tea Party boat man…

    You payin attention?

  13. Dougherty is too big to play an indian

    forget it!

when does the damn CFL start playing?

  14. I’ll get the drinks for Pavel

Frickin two months of nuthin but Crosby…I’m bored and angry…..

After the jump, for me at least, means I don’t want to block old posts with new long ones. But hey, the people have spoken, so no jumping here. Hey Orr, still looking for that pic of Staal….

  16. Congrats to Pittsburgh for knocking off the Detroit Ref Wings, and making everybody except the jealous haters happy.

By the way, nice showing by Avery on Fallon. Not sure what was more embarrassing, the tie or the lame aim. Ha ha.

    Keep on golfin’, Rangers!
