you've all got to be kidding, right?

i don't think that game could have been called more favorably than you. the fact is the caps just dominated the ice in 5-on-5 situations.

brashear's hit was devastating--yes. betts did not physically have contact with the puck at the time--yes. but it was not a late hit for the following reason: no one else had touched the puck after betts had passed it and the hit was only seconds later. maaaaaybe an interference but probably just a great open ice hit.

and what about the bull call on the antropov tripping/holding/interference? or the non-call on the mike green boarding? or the interference call on ovechkin when all he did was lightly check? or the non call on the crosscheck to ovechkin's face in front of the rangers' bench.

stop crying, new york. see you in game 7.

I'm sorry but this league is a fing joke
BEttman is a joke, his so called "Refs" are a joke

ITs all been said above, but that was the most pathetic officiating Ive ever seen in a playoff game

A player gets bit, shows the ref and gets a 10 min misconduct?
are you kidding me?

Look Im still gonna root for our boys and hope they can pull out a win, more for the fact that evev more than before Washington needs to be EMBARASSED at home.

How sweet would it be if we could pull off a 2-1 win in there own barn for a game 7?

It can be done
Will it be done?
Its up to our boys

LETS GO RANGERS

ANd PS All you fairys bitching about HAnk: Your all pathetic

Guy stands on his head for 4 games and has two bad games and your all crying? Talk about band wagaon fans

Yeah, Torts getting screwed is why we will lose. Dumbest comment i have seen here.

You must be Drury in disguise, trying to shift the blame elsewhere. No excuses for losing that game yesterday.

The team just has a bunch of players who care more aboot money, and the rest cant carry for the team on their back, and at this stage of their career should not have to.

Suck ass team !

Rick, as a season ticket holder, I was shocked to hear the PA system at 7th ave entrance (as we were entering the Garden) announcing that there were still tickets available to the game yesterday in EVERY PRICE LEVEL!! I don't know if it was a combination of the great weather, the lousy economy and the Rangers putrid play on Friday night that kept people away from Sunday's game, but there were a number of empty seats in the pricey club seats, 100s and event some 200s seats wer empty. Did MSG announce attend yesterday?

So.......Do we shave our beards tonight in hope of a fresh start, or do we leave them and hope that it gives the team strength?

I wonder if any of our players read this blog like Ovie reads the blogs of the Caps?

Hi guys, you suck! Can you change that a but for us?

One of the main reasons for this teams failure is the lack of leadership .
Drury and the other players should have controlled Avery in the locker room.
Tortorella antics after game 5 shows he lacks class and shouldn't be this teams coach.

Sather is an egotist and his best years are way behind him.
Dolan doesn't have clue about winning and he chooses chumps instead of champs.

The fans deserve better even if they win this series, but they're sunk.. Losers

This team went as far as HL would take them. He ran out of gas two games ago and the Rangers are done unless Hank gets his tank filled. It's not really bizarre if you think about it.

When a goaltender carries the team then runs out of gas, the rest of the team knows they are in trouble. When the team is soft, like the Rangers, they fold their tent and like Schoeny said, they just test the waters. They know the only reason they have advanced this far is HL and without him at his best, they feel beaten, intimidated and shy away. That doesn't apply to stalwarts like Dubi, Callahan, Staal (although he made some mistakes), Girardi and I would include Betts, Shoe and Korpi in that group.

Interesting that it's Sather's poor FA signings that are the culprits. Redden, Rozi, Gomez, Drury, Naslund, Zherdev, Antropov, Voros to name them. Orr has not been given enough time to contribute, sure could have used him yesterday. Mara is on the bubble.

Bad decision not to play Orr by either Torts or Schoeny, whoever made the decision who plays.

First thing that must be done when this is over is to give Schoeny the GM reins, kick Sather upstairs into a title only president job or fire him. Dolan needs to talk to Sather and absorb the big contracts.

As far as Gomez is concerned, read on another board that Torts would like to get St Louis for the Rangers. If so, he just might be what Gomez needs to be more effective next season.

Drury definitely needs to go, maybe LA will take a portion of the contract to acquire him. Convince Rozi and Zherdev to go play in Europe, send Redden and Naslund down to Hartford, don't sign Morris or Antropov (invisible in the playoffs), If Mara doesn't give another discount, sign him or else let him walk. Sign Vally at a discount if he is a FA or UFA.

Between Anisimov, Grachev, Bell, Gilroy, Sags, Del Zotto, Sauer, Potter, some of those guys will stick. Give them all a good look next fall.

SATHER MUST GO...SATHER MUST GO!!
