Yes, we sucked as a team, with Lunker in there we win, plain and simple, no if and or buts about it. We need a more competent backup. When was the last time this guy won a game?

Jane, thnx for elaborating on Voros. I actually kinda feel bad for the guy, esp. when I see him on those betw period specials, visting sick children in the hospital or giving to the garden of dreams! He actually was a victim of his own early success. He came out of nowhere with Dubi & Z, scored a lot of goals as a line but when the nhl caught up to him, he was exposed as a slow footed, 3rd or 4th line grinder!! I always felt bad when bloggers here roasted the guy. There is no room for non-performers and Voros wasn't performing, even with all the ice time Renney gave him. But as you say, he's been humbled and maybe, just maybe, he can bear down under Torts' system, be physical and be an injury replacement (hopefully that won't be needed). Thnx again for replying to my question. I can see how you get to relate to these players as "people" rather than ust a subject of a newspaper column or blog report! You & Carp provide such a great service to us Ranger fanatics, giving us inside info that we all crave and never dreamed we'd get!! Thnx to the internet!!

Jane,

Did you ever have the experience of a family member or friend being unable to turn off or get off of a treadmill or some kind of exercise equipment, and have them yell, "Jane, get me off this crazy thing!!"

Ha, sorry, just felt like being funny in a stupid Spacely Sprocket kind of a way.

Kaspar, I think you'll like the website I linked in my profile.

Jane, is there a morning or optional skate today? I so, will you be attending the morning or optional skate today? If so, will there be an update?

Artie Art
Voros is still part of the Rangers. He was put on waivers to make space for the trade deadline, and when he wasn't picked up he was automatically a Ranger again. Like you, I was initially confused because in the NFL they put you on waivers and immediately clean out your locker, so I asked Voros about it and he patiently explained the process.

That won points in my mind, because it probably wasn't something that he had to do and it can't be something he wanted to rehash.

Jane, could you explain Aaron Voros's status with the team? I know he was put on waivers but I also read on this blog that he continues to practice with the team. What does he do and where does he go when they are playing games? I mean, if Naslund were injured and could not play, would Torts insert Voros in the lineup?
