Leetch etc.If it was only Parise he bypassed you could overlook it as a bad call, but he also bypassed Getzlaff,SToll,Dustin Brown, Mike Green, and a couple of other hots shots. The guy is s-t-r-a-n-ge-.

That's why hoping for the Rangers to sink low to get a draft choice is useless, because Sather would only look past these top flight can't lose people to find some obscure character at the bottom of the pile and see greatness where none exists.

Hey Sather - how about reacquiring Hugh Jessiman? You know, the guy that will never make it to the NHL you drafted over Parise. FIRE SATHER!!!!!!!

one cup--

Your right normally, but with Prucha's unjustifiable benchings this year I think he's gonna let him play. He has a scorer's touch that is needed on a team that lacks scoring touch.

Tort's has seemed a little gun shy with wanting to do drastic things, he seems to be feeling out the team. I dont think he wants to be viewed by the players and fans as a guy coming in here and dropping the axe on everyone. It seems everyone got a chance to wipe the slate clean and Prucha has been performing, and is well liked by the players and fans.

He's an RFA in the summer, so we control his destiny anyways and i think he will be allowed a fair shot to play his contract out.

onecup- agree about prucha. i love him just like every other prucha fan, but if he goes for the sake of the team i'll get over it quickly. its all about the team, but prucha is a team guy and plays his ass off every night, so it kinda hurts to see him maybe being gone soon.

onecup- i dont hate drury, i just want him to be clutch for us now, and get our asses into the PO. i disregard the earlier portion of the season as everyone was struggling under rennys system, so maybe now he'll do what hes paid to do. even if he only earns about half his salary, im cool wit it, just hope he, gomer, z and doobs keep gettin points. especially doobs, he neds a goal badly. he still plays great, just wish he can get a few ya know

Somerset, I have to disagree with the popularity concept being the reason not to trade prucha or other popular players.
You play ,coach and Gm to win , where does the popularity to the fanbase fit in?
I want a winning team, not a team of lovable losers like the '62 mets.

Avery to the Pens is a good fit.

I think coaches shouldn't get involved with the opposing players 99% of the time, there's always the one percent that's justified.
Just as players shouldn't get in the face of the officials , that's for the coaches to do.
Last night was a nice win for the rangers, but I want see a real winning streak against better opponents , if your going to get hot , there's no better time than now to gear up and go into the playoffs red hot to do damage and go deep into the playoffs. That's how the cinderella teams get to the finals.
And just because the rangers won Saturday shouldn't deter Sather from making a move or two to improve the team .
I don't hear the Gomez and Drury haters now.

I'd like to try and get Antropov and Ian White here.

I can tell you right now, that Dawes will be dealt before the deadline. He has had his ice-time cut drastically (played 9 minutes last nite) and does not fit into the Torts style.

I can actually say that i dont think Prucha will be dealt, I think Torts likes him b/c of his heart and dedication and the fact that he is a fan favorite. I dont think Tort's would have the balls this early on to step on the fanbase and bench or trade Prucha.

I think Avery will be great under Tort's. Although, he has admitted that he thinks he's a moron and such, Avery's fire and heart make him a Tort kind of player

Voros, Dawes, and Girardi may be dealt in the next few days.
