Riguere

I agree. The difference between one goal and two goals, or two goals and three goals, for the Rangers might possibly be realized by second and third effort. How many times have rebounds sat in the slot like plums in front of the opponents net for the picking til the defender cleared it away. It might as well be a Ranger getting to it. Not that there is a greatly skilled scorer, so all the more reason to bust ass to follow up.

It will pay off.

I agree MikeA. keep all the good kids. start fresh in camp. don't add more multi-year contracts this week because they are not going to the finals this year, so why mortgage the kids for an impossible dream

Knuckleheads, listen up!

Too many idiots are not seeing what is happening here. Tonite was good. They played hard and carried the action. THERE ARE ACTUALLY SECOND and THIRD chances being generated. This NEVER took place when Tom the Mild was in charge. EVER! So chill out. And btw, all the nimrods who predicted endless odd man rushes against with this posture of pressuring the puck have been shown to be dead wrong. Florida could get nothing going thru 2 periods. So when the Rangers are actually IN SHAPE, they will be a load. Not a Cup contender, but very very hard to play against. THE OPPOSITE OF RENNEYISM.

It is a matter of time before they begin to score. The worst problems are currently being fixed ---- players are freer, and adjusting to it. In other words, they won't be fined if they're behind the opposition's goalline chasing the puck! IT TAKE TIME TO GET RID OF THE RENNEY ANXIETY. They are getting chances ---- they will be rewarded in time.

Remember ---- when goals are scored in tight, you do not have to be Jari Kurri in his prime. If they play this game the rest of the way, getting fitter and more comfortable with the new coach, they will make some noise before the season is over.

My sense is that they will drop as low as tenth, then make a charge that will likely get them eighth place. Who cares, anyhow? What's important is that Tom Renney ---- WHO WAS AFRAID TO ATTACK ATLANTA AND THE ISLANDERS IN HIS OWN BUILDING!! ----- is no longer the coach. And his replacement thankfully knows what he is doing.

I totally typo'd that post; see this team and work have drained me. In any event, yeah, the point is that I'll be bummed out for like 2 weeks if they continue this way, but I'll be super enthusiastic going into camp next year as long as Dubi, Staal, Cally, AA, Grachev, Del Zotto, Sags, Sauer, Weisse all have a shot to make this club.

Sather; don't screw this up...please!

I would not touch that garbage Jokinen for free. he has NEVER made the playoffs, they are now ripping him bigtime in Phoenix, and Fla is way better without him.

he is a loafing dog.

all the guys who are being shopped are somebody's else's headaches, just like our guys.

I'm really hoping Sather does nothing at the deadline but gets rid of a few people and gives some young kids a crack; I'm gonna be very upset if he does something dumb, but I'm not G and have no say.

This is a crazy time to be a Rangers fan. Guys, there's no one big to get. Gaborik ain't worth it; get him on July 1st once Rozi and Naslund are gone. A minor tweak. I'll miss the playoffs and be bummed out if it means next year's training camp is gonna have the two Russians, the two Italian Dmen, and Dubi with a new program and mission given to him by Torts.

Alright, everyone have a nice week. I'm done posting until post deadline because it's all I've been doing lately, and the Rangers and my job have sucked the life out of me. At least there's music (Brighton Port Authority) and movies (Watchmen) and gym time to take my mind off of hockey.

Remember everyone; be patient. We don't need these sexy names who are on the decline. If we have to lose the battle (this season) to win the war, so be it.

Peace.
