Both. One or the other. I’m not sure. I’m not in on the inner workings of the organization.

I DO know that Sather probably expects his summer work to reflect in the line up come October. (I’m not sure why he’d rather not see his drafting there… but hey.) At the same time, as far as I’m aware Renney makes the final say on who’s riding pine and who’s getting 20 minutes a night.

The GM, again, this season, signed too many forwards while we had not enough spots. That screams to me that he was expecting something different. Someone on the team that shouldn’t have been. (Read: Prucha.) Why would he go out and sign Rissmiller after getting Fritsche and having been in on Sundin since the summer? He was expecting a different look to the team.

Remember, this is the GM who refused the youth movement until it forced upon him with the oncoming lockout and the potential salary cap everyone knew was coming.

Coach, on the other hand, doles out the ice time. I’m not sure if he’s getting messages from above, but he’s making the final determination of ice time. Shanahan, although signed by Sather, did not HAVE to get 18 minutes of work a night. He COULD have been used as a PP guy, a third line guy. However, he wasn’t.

tony… for the fishsticks just wait till you are here and then go to the coliseum… they will have tix available right up until two days or so before the game… Isles fans don’t sell… but have you been on LI before? There is little to no public transport its a mess of buses and trains to get to the coliseum (as I understand it… its only one bus for me because I will just walk the mile to get to that stop or I can take a car)

For the Rangers v Bruins maybe you should just bite the bullet and go for ticketmaster. I know folks who use stub hub and they’ve never been burned…

ehhh…not interested anymore. Not because of eklund. But Jovo has seen FAR better days. Do we need another ‘change of scenery’ guy?

Funny though that slats REALLY can’t find anyone to deal with other than phx, edm, etc.

I was at the Phx/Dallas game the other night & Jovo looked older & slower then me.

Well Eklund reported the Doan rumors but I also heard about it from a friend who sometimes gets inside info. It would be Doan, Jovo, and another younger NHL player for 2 NHL players from our team and one from Hartford.
