You have to look at younger players through a broader lens. Plus, Zherdev came back from the benching, scored in the shootout, then was arguably the Rangers' best skater on Wednesday night. Plus, Zherdev came back from the benching, scored in the shootout, then was arguably the Rangers’ best skater on Wednesday night. So to be quite honest with you, you’re wrong…I think it was the right move to bench Zherdev because he responded well.

I admit I wouldn't feel comfortable swapping in anyone just to change it. I would take Ted Nolan in a heartbeat if he was willing.
