You don’t have to be an aeshole, but your players have to have that internalized fear of letting you down and getting on your bad side. That’s all great and true for last year, but Philly is now going from Hero to Zero.

Philly lost to the same team in the playoffs last year as we did.

If they played Pitt in the 2nd round like we did they would have lost too.

Do you think PHI has a more talented team, or a better goaltender than NYR? Do you think they had easy breaks getting to the ECF? Do you think coaching had anything to do with it?

Is the NHL really THAT bad?

I don’t thing the argument of Henrik carrying us holds enough weight since he’s not facing 40 shots a night. I mean, the Bruins were unbeatable til they came to the Garden, so were the Penguins, so were other teams. But, we’ve continued to find ways to win.

So if we’re playing “awful” then how are the other teams playing? Are the Bruins minor leaguers? Do the Senators belong in the AHL as well?

I don’t understand.

Could we play better? Yes. Could we hustle more and establish more of a forecheck? Yes. Could we be crisper on the breakout? Yes. Could we be more efficient on the pp? Yes.

So we’re inadequate in all these departments, yet we’re still winning.

To me, that’s exciting. If we were playing our BEST and LOSING, that’s someting to worry about. Why? Because that means we’re just not GOOD ENOUGH.

This is quite the opposite. We’re not playing out best—yet—but, we’ve been plenty good enough to win.

Imagine what we’ll be like when we hit our stride.
