Renney’s refusal to play 2 new guys and 1 relatively new guy who was sort of in his dog house without any apparent reason is a direct challenge towards Sather and our pro scouts. I hope Sather goes over Renney’s hyena head and trades away his boy Blair “2.5 assists” Betts, Renney will weep I guarantee.

And to have captain and 2 assistants on the same line is as retarded as it gets. Other teams award young players with letters, Renney never, he only rewards mercenary vets. Girardi easily deserves an “A” he has far more leadership qualities than Gomez.

I’ve been saying it for years, Renney is one mean evil hyena that uses favoratism and doesn’t understand how to reward players for playing well and working hard and how to punish those that play lazy and refuse to finish their checks. Dubinsky was one of the best hitters on the Rangers, was he out of position a lot because of his hitting? No, so why would Betts be out of position, just simply ridiculous.

and what does this line from Larry Brooks’ article mean: “Having Jim Schoenfeld, the assistant GM, on the ice at every practice barking out instructions as if he were a member of the coaching staff? Outrageous.”

Fritsche, Rissmiller, and Sjostrom are scratched? Is Renney braindead? What happened to wanting more offense from the 4th line? What is the point of Orr in the lineup? I bet Melrose is not wasting a spot on some goon. Not that Orr can’t play, but come on, he is a 13th forward at best.

Will Betts and Prucha ever be traded?

Onecup, Prucha’s always a step behind? Surely you can’t have watched preseason and thought that. He’s one step ahead, getting open and making space. He’s postionally great, finally back in front of the net where he scored all those goals in his rookie season. Screening the goalie, which is how he got his lone goal of the preseason.

Yeah, he’s having problem finishing. We need him to finish, hands down. But has Dawes finished his preseason? Where has Sjostrum been? Are they that much better than him, that you would sit him in his homeland?

No, because they haven’t been better all. 60 NHL goals in 3 seasons aren’t a “mistake.” The mistake has been misusing him, letting him rot on the bench, burying his confidence, and then asking him to contribute like he did in his rookie year.

If this was a scare tatic, Renney’s still an idiot. He’s low confidence just got lower.

is this game being shown on center ice? i’m in dc and have comcast…when i called yesterday they said they’d have it, but now the screen says that center ice games wont start until the 9th.

Help, last minute change of plans on opening day,need Manhattan sports bar recommendation for the game, could go to ESPN but have not been impressed with picture quality or size,looking for big HDTV screen that I can be close to, + wireless,thanks in advance on this important day -Let’s get this team on a roll!
