Update, 7:09 p.m: The Rangers have signed Wade Redden. This merits its own post.
Update, 7:07 p.m.: Voros signed for three years, $3 year million ($1 million per). Still no word on Rissmiller or Jamtn’s terms.
Update, 6:48 p.m.: Rozsival clocks in at four years, $20 million.
Update, 6:15 p.m.: Too many Swedes! In addition to announcing the Rissmiller signing (who is not a Swede), the team also has signed forward Andreas Jamtn from the Swedish Elite League. Maybe Sundin and Naslund really are next.
In other news, Brian Rolston is again a Devil, cashing in at four years, $20 million per.
Update, 5:59 p.m.: The Rangers have also confirmed Michal Rozsival’s deal is imminent.
The 29-year-old Rissmiller is another big body wing. He had eight goals and nine assists in 79 games for the Sharks last year. He is coming off a sports hernia surgery that he played through in the postseason.
The natural conclusion one could draw from the Rangers signing two edgy left wings today is they’re preparing for life without Sean Avery.
