…will “Jaromir Jagr still be a Ranger?”:http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080701/SPORTS01/807010366/-1/SPORTS

Or will Chris Drury be on his way to being the team’s new captain?

Will Sean Avery, who has long professed indifference to all things hockey and Canada, end up in Toronto of all places?

Will Michal Rozsival suddenly be elevated from a promising but maddeningly inconsistent defenseman to a team’s new backline savior?

Will Brendan Shanahan end up signing on again with the Rangers….to work in the front office?

Will Mats Sundin decide New York is actually a safe haven from constant media attention?

I don’t know the answers, but we should have at least a few of them by dinner.

Barring anything before then, be sure to check back at noon for the start of wall-to-wall free agent coverage. If nothing else, it should be fun.

  1. Doodie Machetto on

I think this is going to be pretty uneventful for us, actually. I think we’ll sign a defenseman, and that’s it. Certainly nothing like the Gomez/Drury signings last year.

  2. Disagree. I think we’ll see 3 or 4 new faces. And perhaps see 1 or 2 dissapear.

  3. I’m really interested to see how Avery changes his tune when he signs with a Canadian team today.

  4. I’m interested to see what happens with Avery. I want him back personally.

I think we could be in for a long year if we don’t sign anyone. Regardless of what you may think of Jagr’s work ethic or salary requirements, he’s still a dynamic player and not one you can just substitute for easily in the FA market.

In a worse case scenario – no Jagr, no Avery, no stud defenseman signing and the Rangers suck next year. I am not into the whole long term rebuilding thing, particularly as long as we have Gomez, Drury and Lundquist.

  5. ok here’s something nothing to do with hockey.
I was in my grandmothers attic the otherday and came across all kinds of baseball cards kool right. But what I thought was really neat was a copy of UNCLE TOM’S CABIN by Harritt Beacher Stow 1st copy from 1861 nice shape,
Any idea how much it might be worth????????????

  6. Uncle Tom’s cabin was published in 1852…not sure how an 1861 copy could be a first copy. But a neat find nonetheless. Lincoln called Stowe ‘the little lady that started the great war.’ She was an agitator, to, just like Sean Avery. LOL

  7. In a worse case scenario – no Jagr, no Avery, no stud defenseman signing and the Rangers suck next year. I am not into the whole long term rebuilding thing, particularly as long as we have Gomez, Drury and Lundquist.

    ………

That’s really next to impossible today. Even if all of our main targets are gone, we’ll resign who we can, or pick up the lower-tier UFA’s. Its not like we’re strapped for cash. Sure, maybe you want to keep $5mil open in cap space for future deals, but there’s no reason to walk away from the day not filling those spots.

  8. Beer me, it is amazing but I found a Alexej Kovalev Bobblehead today..

Do you know how much it is worth more than a vodka ????

  9. I think this is going to be pretty uneventful for us, actually. I think we’ll sign a defenseman, and that’s it. Certainly nothing like the Gomez/Drury signings last year.
    ………….

Oh God, how I hope Doodie’s right (no more drury-like signings)! Would be the most successful UFA season the Rangers have had in years!!

Zipay is reporting some BIG surprise to come out today. I still hope the Rangers take a look at Naslund in addition to Orpik and Ryder.

If you guys want to check out a cool site with all the UFA’s (can sort either by team or position) check this out:
    http://www.sportscity.com/nhl/2008-nhl-restricted-free-agents-05282008/

  10. Agree with Beer. We’ll definitely see some splashes from Slats today. Do you think he’ll leave Gomez & Drury with no supporting acts? I think we’re getting both Jagr & Sundin along with Redden.

  11. stf – I don’t know about the players, I guess we’re a few hours away from knowing.

bembel – You’d be lucky to get a bottle of Leed’s Vodka, bottled locally in Edison, NJ. Don’t look for anything like Chopin or Belvidere. Maybe a shot of Smirnoff..haha

  12. none of is expected last year so maybe they will suprise us this year. I only want to see sundin if they resign jagr I don’t want him to replace jagr. And I think avery is gone

  13. Doodie, at the very least, its definitely NOT going to be uneventful one way or the other

Shoey and Dawes already received qualifying offers
Valli is probably right along the same lines

JAgr, Avery, Straka, Shanny, Mara, Struds ALL may not be here at the end of today

    Malik is already gone

So what ever way you slice it, there are ALOT of different personell we are are going to have in Blue Sweaters next season, one way or the other, and for better or worse

And I REALLY PRAY Zipays mention on NEwsday that a Big Suprise move by Sather has NOTHING to do with Dubi.

Im still feeling like Avery may jsut be back here and settle for less money. He will never be a CELEBRITY as he is here, anywhere else, especially Toronto or Chicago.

  14. Jersey, what do you mean? Toronto and Montreal are just as big (if not bigger) markets as New York. The media pressure and fan-base support/pressure is just the same. Avery found that contingency in LA (there are fan sites citing their “love for sean avery” in LA), just as in NY, just as in whatever town he finds himself preparing to move to.

  15. so deadline is exactly at noon ????

I am sure Glen is going to swing a deal like a rocket to the moon !

probably one out of Russia, who likes the smirnoff as much as the gorbatschov !!!!

  16. ” That’s really next to impossible today. Even if all of our main targets are gone, we’ll resign who we can, or pick up the lower-tier UFA’s. ”

    —–

I don’t think its that unlikely. Jagr supposedly has a +$30mn/3yr contract on the table from a team he already played on and who he met with during the season, the Rangers have offered decidely less if anything.

Sather has low balled Avery and basically told him to get lost.

How many 1st pairing D-men are available or good d-men in general0? We could lose Rozcival, Mara and Malik – which regardless of what you think are still NHL caliber d-men. Other than maybe Detroit, who wouldn’t want to add a d-man if they could fit it in their cap?

I think that on paper, there is a very strong chance our team looks less strong today than it did yesterday. Of course, on paper we were supposed to win the Cup last year after the first day of free agent signings…..

  17. I mean New York is New York, its like Rome of the ancient world, and Avery knows this. He’ll never be AS BIG as he is here. He may be big in Toronto or LA, but this is the worlds center stage. I jsut think his ego and his love of fashion, models, nightlife, etc. will def come into play with his decision.

But what the hell do I know, he could be a Dalls star by 1pm for all we know, hehe.

COME ON SLATS , PLESAE make some smart moves today, NO JAGR!

  18. I don’t think its that unlikely. Jagr supposedly has a +$30mn/3yr contract on the table from a team he already played on and who he met with during the season, the Rangers have offered decidely less if anything.
    ……….
That team is called “Omsk” of the RSL.

Of course, on paper we were supposed to win the Cup last year after the first day of free agent signings…..
    ……….
If you thought the Rangers were winning the cup because by 1:15pm they had signed Drury and Gomez then you, my friend, bought the hype. You believed the MSG commercials. You listened to Sam, Joe, and Stan and you swallowed the shenanigan’s hook, line, and sinker. Sorry.

  19. IMO Sundin doesn’t make sense without Jagr, right?! I just hope if they get Sundin it’s not going to be in favor of Dubinsky (too many centers). Agree MikeyNJ, in terms of fashion, nightlife etc. you Toronto or Montreal are no match to NYC. That is why Avery loves it.

  20. And on a side note, I really would love for Sather to keep Mara.

He only got better this year, showed alot of heart, and could be had for less than his contract was last year. All indications by him are that he loves NY and the Rangers.

I would think he’s the easiest decision out of all of our UFA. MAke him a reasonable offer (albeit lower than last years salary) maybe for two years, and he’ll stick around.

And what does everyone think about Brooksy’s article about Shanny going to the Debbie’s? I think I’d rather have him as our PP coach than playing with NAncy Brodeur

  21. die hard fan on

We need a QB for the PP that is a puck carrying and moving offensive defenseman. We haven’t had one since Zubov and/or Leetch.

If that is Campbell, go sign him. if it is someone else, go get him.

  22. So I wonder how slats is looking to play the Jagr/Sundin thing… Maybe it’s just not knowing how this stuff works, but what happens if they sign sundin and then jagr bails? or vice versa? Then you’re friggin beat, either way.

  23. Mikey, its going to be the money that sways him. If Slats offers $3.25million and Toronto offers $4.25 for the same years – he’s gone. Heck, if the Islanders, Devils, Thrashers, Panthers, or Blackhawks (just trying to pick crappy small-market teams) offer him that money, he’ll go and still cause the “Avery” raucus in the NHL.

  24. true how about a glass of half full once in awhile..ur more annoying than everyone you mentioned

  25. Mikey – I agree 100% on Mara. However, I think it was Zipay that reported he had some kind of ‘beef’ with the coaching staff. I would have to believe that contributed to him being a healthy scratch some nights.

  26. I heard a rumor that the Preds may be looking to deal Zidlicky. Apparently they have lots of young depth coming up on the blueline. Prucha to Preds!

  27. “If you thought the Rangers were winning the cup because by 1:15pm they had signed Drury and Gomez then you, my friend, bought the hype. You believed the MSG commercials. You listened to Sam, Joe, and Stan and you swallowed the shenanigan’s hook, line, and sinker. Sorry.”–TFBRW&B

Was adding a few decent centers–one a great skater, puckhandler and passer, the other a good two-way player–to a team that already had one of the best defenses in the league supposed to lower the team’s chances at winning the Cup?

  28. Beer, you work out verbal agreements with both and fax them around the same time telling them “the other guys about to sign right now.”

It’s basically what happened with Gomez and Drury. Sather was on the phone with Gomez’s agent while Maloney (or other staff) was on the phone with Drury – verbally agreed to deals, within minutes of each other.

JerseyBoy, I completely agree. I think Mara would be the easiest signing for defense. I liked how he played last year and I think he was great in the playoffs. Everyone wants a puck-moving defensman, but I don’t if it’s at the expense of not being able to play defense! That’s why the McCabes, Schneiders and Boyles are bad for this organization. That’s why Rozsival has to go also.

  29. I think that on paper, there is a very strong chance our team looks less strong today than it did yesterday. Of course, on paper we were supposed to win the Cup last year after the first day of free agent signings…..

    …..

Might be the smartest thing I’ve ever seen you post. I’m personally looking forward to potentially being an underdog again. I never expected a Cup last year, but I expected to have the upper hand almost every night… simply wasn’t the case and it still leaves acid in my stomach.

  30. “You believed the MSG commercials. You listened to Sam, Joe, and Stan and you swallowed the shenanigan’s hook, line, and sinker. Sorry.”

    —-

I actually never think any team is going to win the whole thing on paper because the odds are so stacked. However, I did think the Rangers became that much more competitive after the Gomez/Drury signings.

Sorry, I want my team to win. I don’t spend my time bitching about how every player on the team sucks when they don’t win the Cup. Try and pretend like your optimist for a day.

  31. true – I thought that, but I guess I’m just skeptical of someone bailing out.

see Sportsnet.ca for a bunch of other rumors for today, they keep adding to it.

Mike Green’s deal was 4yr/$21m. Sounds about right. May actually raise the bar for the day though.

  32. I could see the Ranges tyring to pull off a deal for Bouweester or Boyle today. I’d take either one but obviously Bouweester is the guy we would want.

  33. true how about a glass of half full once in awhile..ur more annoying than everyone you mentioned

    …….

Dude sometimes the glass is just half empty… no one is here to jerk eachother off about another 2nd round exit… we need to make crucial moves…this is not a jolly place, this board is dominated by people who want to see improvements and who believe that the team is NEVER “GOOD ENOUGH” unless they are drinking molson out of the cup all summer… get over it…we’re not jolly.

  34. the two of you can go pump each other..or maybe ur the same person..go ahead and urself a reacharound..

  35. Salty, you have to know you don’t speak for the majority here. There’s a handful of you guys that would rather see the team fail so you can say “I told you so”. Don’t lie.

We’re making big signings today, again. For better or for worse it’s going to happen. There’s a bunch of holes we need to fill, and there’s tons of players to fill them. I’m looking forward to seeing what we’ll do today. I expect a lot of activity.

  36. I thought I’d share this, cause it made me laugh. I sent my bro and link about CLB looking to sign a big dman. Here’s his response:

“If I were a top 3 Dman and a UFA today the only way I’d become a Blue Jacket is 10yrs 10mil per plus part ownership, new Bentley, GMs wife and daughter, and a new puppy”

  37. Hahaha! I think it’s funny how critics are bashed on here. Where’s the kool-aid, I must not have gotten my cup yet?!

Jordan, I respect your opinion along with everyone else’s opinions else’s here, I just didn’t think the Rangers had the team to come out of the East (even during the offseason) last year. The defense is/was a liability and I didn’t see Gomez and Drury as the “two missing center-pieces” which completed the puzzle. This year there are even more holes to fill.

Beer and All others, you guys are SO wrong. Its not even funny how far you all are from the truth. *I’d rather say the Rangers won’t make the playoffs and see them win the damn cup!!!* I want to see Drury have a 100point breakout season. I’d like to see Rozsival be a rock on defense and score 25 goals…but don’t hate me because I didn’t follow the hype and criticized the team, perhaps, through glasses which were not tainted by my love for them.

If hockey organizations were only run by 1-person who thought what they had was just good enough, they’d end up like Milbury’s Islanders! Perspective and criticism are the spice of life – put your damn kool-aid down and take an objective look every once in awhile, it won’t kill you.

  38. Objectivitivy and Criticizm are only effective and “called for” when they’re supported by the opposite. The “glass is half full” comment was mroe right everytime I think of it. It wouldn’t hurt you guys to point out a positive here or there. But I really don’t give a shit. You guys will carry on throughout the season like this no matter what. As you were.

  39. Let me clarify; so criticizing Rozsival and Drury, and saying Jagr didn’t carry his weight last year (because these 3 are fan-favorites, marketable, and the Rangers “#1 d-man”) is apparently blasphemy?

But if we start bashing Backman, Renney, Pearn, and Malik we’ll fit right in, and that will be OK, right? Think about what you’re saying…only the criticism that conforms to everyone else’s will be tolerated. Mhhmmmmm, this kool-aid tastes damn good, doesn’t it?

  40. I passed kindergarten a long time ago. I’m not here to talk about who you should be bashing. It’s 7/1 there’s better things to discuss.

You’re just missing what people are saying. 99% criticzm and 1% ‘praise’ doesn’t lead to very well thought out points.

Bash whoever, it doesn’t change my opinion.

  41. BTW – the kool aid is bangin. And win or lose, I enjoy EVERY Ranger season.

  42. You guys will carry on throughout the season like this no matter what. As you were.
    …..

This reminds me of Ghosbusters when Ray tells Peter “You never studied.”!

Dude you could have not found a happier camper in 06-07…that was a team to cheer for. You weren’t here for that though…

I’d be more willing to point out the positives if they weren’t already so blown up and stomped down our throats by MSG and the media. WE are the counterpart to all the shilling. WE are the other side of the tracks that people don’t want to know about. I am that animal trapped in your hot car. I am all the days that you choose to ignore. There’s enough bullsh1t fed to the Rangers community as it is, people like us are here to counteract it all. No one needs to hear “Chris Drury never loses” again, do they?

  43. my best friedns dad was the news reporter in Ghostbusters (the original) who tell sof the freight train running through his grandmas back yard

He was also in Pootie Tang

Just some news to pass the time til we get some news

  44. my best friedns dad was the news reporter in Ghostbusters (the original) who tell sof the freight train running through his grandmas back yard

    ….

whats sad is not only do I know exactly who that guy is… but I have known for about ~20 years….guy must be pretty old by now huh?

  45. no, I wasn’t here for ’06-’07. And I understand your position. But if ‘you’ are going to continue to just blast everything the org is going to do before any games are played on the upcoming season, I just don’t get it. I also don’t get what dwelling on the past season(s) does for ‘you’. As far as Drury(and anyone else who didn’t live up to the hype that THEY had nothing to do with) I can’t wait to see what they do this year. Cause the cup’s already been handed out on last season. It’s over.

  46. HA! And the scene where the street is breaking up, I know the midget in it! I swear to god. I actually said the other day that I knew some midgets. He was in Willow and some other stuff too.

  47. Bryce Salvador… there’s a force to be reckoned with.

I think Sour Lou is so caught up in his eo and totally obsessed with finding the “diamon in the rough” that he is going to destroy the Devils in years to come, which makes me very happy. He is out matched in the salary cap era to date and has no contingency plan for the inevitable Brodeur retirement.

I’ll go on record to say the Devils don’t make the playoffs next year or the next 3-5 years.

  48. salty and true make this make this site amazing..without all your insight and opinions i have no idea how the rangers organization would survive without you two..can’t win the cup every yr..or even every other yr..there are very few dynasties in sports so get a grip and pretend to enjoy the fact that we will improve the team today..just like we did last yr

  49. hey sam today is such a great day to hit the links, sorry you will be forced to check in on ranger news every five minutes

  50. I’m back again for the frenzy. I can’t believe how crazy it’s been already with so many buyouts.

Salty – I really like your takes on the last couple of threads about Jagr, so I definitely agree with you; shocking, I know.

Beer Me! – If Sundin’s choice is Rangers or Red Wings, it’s between the best Swedish goaltender and the best of the rest Swedes. :)

  51. Salt

Yeah he is pretty old, late 67 or 68. he actualyl has been in alot of movies, and used to live in Middletown NJ, but moved down to VA to retire and do sporadic acting and plays.

    Christopher Wynkoop, he’s on IMDB

  52. Beer, you know the direction I want to see things go… If I get my wish today… I will be quite happy… If we get signed up for a couple more seasons of the same… I’m going to have a disgusted chuckle and continue to voice my displeasure and what I desire the team to do… I’m anxious becuase today things either CHANGE drastically and I think that would be exciting as all hell breaking loose… or we will pretty much continue on th esame path as last season and I just don’t understand how any real fan could be excited for that…

  53. And on Avery, I really don’t know what to think. I think I want him back, but not for the outrageous contract he wants. It’s hard to replace such a player as him, but he obviously has his bad attributes, as well. I do want Mara to come back and serve more of a physical role. I just have to trust that Sather will do the right thing. Yikes!

  54. oh yeah, I know that you and I agree on the direction the team needs to go. Which is wherever Jagr is not, and not pay Avery a ridiculous $4mil/per contract. Its just the way opinions are voiced sometimes (over and over) that piss people off. I could care less today though, there’s so much else to talk about other than being negative when “you’re” trying to SUPPORT a team.

  55. I could see a team like Atlanta making a run at Jagr because Waddell is probably on the hot seat and has way to many young players to fill the line-up along with Kozlov and Kovalchuk, and Jagr could fill a first line hole. Not necessarily that he would want to go there, especially since it would surely be for less than what is rumored that Omsk offered, but he would have a starring role.

  56. Someone floated the Boumeister idea, I think that would be an awesome acquisition for the Rangers…what does he cost and what would we have to give up?

Sportsnet.ca reporting Bruins ready to offer Hossa a $100Million deal for 12 years!!! I guess it started last year with the Drury/Gomez/Briere/Vanek deals (and RFA sheet), but if Hossa gets that then Kovalchuk’s going to break the bank when he’s on the market. Absurd!

  57. HAHA
Glad I can bring some laughter to the board Salty!

And he makes a mean vodka and Tonic

Were all getting too serious here.

Lets jsut hope we get some good news at the opening bell of 12pm

  58. Well I try to expect less so I get more…

I know I do repeat myself adnauseum over the same handful of things, but they are often brought up and relevant… (2 main players and the coach)

I almost got started when sam dropped the presumption of Drury picking up the C in Jagr’s potential/hopeful absence. I should really just write my formal essay on that subject and paste it here whenever it comes up….

  59. I don’t think people are considering the personal side to Jagr’s decision. His girlfriend is staying in NY or moving to Russia with him. NY is as important to Jagr as it is to Avery. But for Avery its…you guessed it…moolah doolah. For jags it is too, he “NEEDS” to be the highest paid on any team.

  60. Tampa Bay is doing everything buy re-sign Khabibulin-which is the problem to begin with

  61. Salty – I’m not trying to blast you here, rather point something out that is very often forgotten (at least it seems) with the majority of your posts, especially on that subject. … You have ZERO clue what goes on in the lockerroom, team dinners, plane rides, bus rides, days off, etc. You saying he would make a ‘bad captain’ means as much to me (since I can only speak for myself) as Avery saying he’s worth $4mil/per.

  62. Maybe if Jagr actually TRIED last year, he’d be making 9m again. Bye, Jaromir. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

  63. I seriously don’t think an Alpha guy lke Jagr would seriously let his chick have ANY input of such a heavy decision…. I think that was really more of Jagr wit…

Then again, the right ass really will make you do the craziest shit. Like laundry and stuff.

  64. ““Type II” guys that I’ve hardly heard of…”

    EXHIBIT A – Kurt Sauer
    EXHIBIT B – Branislav Mezei

Sure, I looked them up, but that’s what we may be looking at.

  65. “Then again, the right ass really will make you do the craziest shit. Like laundry and stuff.”

HAHA DING DING DING DING… WE HAVE A WINNER!

  66. You have ZERO clue what goes on in the lockerroom, team dinners, plane rides, bus rides, days off, etc.

    ……

Absolutley…I’m just going by his track record, mostly what I saw happen with Buffalo… and I’m also not getting into this today…I don’t have it in me.

  67. One of the reasons he was so bad before leaving Wash was because his GF of like 5 yrs split.

  68. Everyone on here acts like its a big surprise that Jagr saved himself for the home stretch of the season/playoffs. He’s been saying he does that for the last 10 years, its not like its a big surprise.

  69. Well boys, here we go. Let the games begin. I hope we are all smiling at the end of the day. I don’t know what will happen, but I expect one major deal today.

  70. JJP, he had 123 points in 05/06, 96 points in 06/07 and 71 points last year. What’s his 08/09 benchmark, 50?

  71. Man, it is tough to say. I want a team that is not a quick fix for a run at the cup this year. I want something that makes sense for years to come. And I want Avery back. I definitely do. If you are going to have a guy like that on your team, you want the best at what they do. I am sorry for those of you who disagree, but he is the BEST at what he does. Plain and simple.

Beer, how is married life? Isn’t it like one big episode of Everybody Love Raymond, except it isn’t funny, and everyone is always all pissed off? Ha, great line from “Knocked Up” said by one of my favorite actors, Paul Rudd.

  72. Pavel, you’re making a valid point which I agree with – Jagr’s production is going down – if we resign him it should be based on realistic expectations of performance.

I was trying to get across, albeit poorly, that the debate about Jagr shouldn’t be him saying “i save some gas in the tank” till the end of the season. One, he’s always said that and two, someone else pointed out on here that europeans tend to have there quotes misconstrued due to the language barrier.

  73. Sather went for the cup run last year and failed, worse than the year before. Focus the team around Drury/Gomez/Lundqvist, not a drama queen.

  74. But, I don’t like 4 million for Avery, I like 3.25-3.5 or something in that neighborhood.

  75. Great line in a great flick nasty. It’s all good in the ‘hood man. Thanks.

Avery may be the best at what he does, but the problem slats (and at least myself) has, is, how do you out a price on it? Let’s use Pavol Demitra as an example. It’s likely he’ll sign somewhere for about $4mil today. The guy had a bad season on a team he doesn’t like. But he’s put up some real decent #’s in the past (30+ goal seasons, A.S. seasons). On the 25th lowest scoring team in ’07-’08 (yes,us), how do you pay a guy $4mil to score 15 goals, when there’s players available (demitra, rolston, ryder, etc) that you can pay as much or less and be more productive? Have a tangible to pay for. It’s tough, I don’t have the answer, if there is one. But I completely understand Slats toubles with this one.

  76. My bad, I was typing while you posted that. The consensus around here seemed to be 3yrs/$10-11mil. But it’s not good enough for Sean.

  77. Why did I sign here again? aka Staal Wart on

Looks like the gang is back together…
at least for a few days

  78. On the 25th lowest scoring team in ‘07-’08 (yes,us), how do you pay a guy $4mil to score 15 goals, when there’s players available (demitra, rolston, ryder, etc) that you can pay as much or less and be more productive? Have a tangible to pay for.
    …………

Beer, isn’t this the exact OPPOSITE of the argument many people make about Drury’s value?! Not looking to sour the apple-cart here or piss people off, but I truly don’t understand how so many people say “don’t judge chris drury by his production” but in the next breath judge Avery by his production. Avery does more on the ice than score goals, we all know that, thus, shouldn’t the same logic at least apply?

  79. And away we go!

The Edmonton Oilers have created some financial flexibility by dealing hard-hitting left winger Raffi Torres to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for 21-year-old centre Gilbert Brule.

  80. I’ll admit in light of some of the recent contracts… ~$4M for Avery would be a little easier to swallow… he IS a timebomb though and you can’t take him on for 3 years at that price… unfortunately….

I thought LaPerrier still played in COL?

  81. Campbell. Probably to Ott.

Word is EDM is ready to make a huge pitch for Hossa too. That guy’s about to get a whole lot richer.
