Thanks Robby Bonfire for the stats and the Hartford update.

Rather than getting into a conversation over statistical merit, the decision on who the Rangers bring up should be based on Chemistry. While Bourret was a first round draft choice that is known to throw vicious hits into opponents, and see the ice very well, Greg Moore is a simple up and down wing.

They're both useful. Bourret's shoulder has been a problem since training camp, and may well be an issue. Should that be the case, Moore is a solid choice. If Bourret is healthy, given the Rangers lack of goals, he would be the more logical choice, especially given his success last season paired with Dawes.

Providence came into Hartford tonight, and came back from 1-3, to win 4-3. Moore was +1, Bourret was -1. Moore is now Rel. plus-minus 44-9; Bourret is now 6-48. But of course Bouret has all those "intangibles" working for him.

The REALLY bad news may be that Scatchard did not play. This means one of two things, either he got recalled to Broadway, or the organization didn't like what it saw of him, over three games, and cut or benched him. I fear the worst. Please come back Callahan, we need you. Except, when Callahan does come back it could be bye bye Dubinsky. Here we go again, it seems, regressing by the week, both physically and philosophically.

the CBA does not allow redoing contracts. So can't for Gomez or Kaspar. After January1 Henrik can negotiate an extension.

Scott Gomez

worst signing in New York Rangers History

7.3 million over 7 years for a guy who has a career average of 15 goals and 48 assists.

why would the rangers trade for Bryzgalov so he can play 8-10 games a year and cost them a 2nd rounder.

Eklund makes up rumors for a living that is his job.

Pock on waivers, Malik scores on Lundqvst. Renney continues to show genius. Hossa first line winger. Wait to go, Tommy!

Good for Toots and Girardi. I think they are definitely showing they can be considered the top pair on defense. Freakin Malik....

Strudwick fought Neil, so I'll give him a reprieve on no hits, lol.

BLUE -

I separate D's from forwards, in all statistical categories, so you are right about Malik, relative to the other D's, in the hits category...

HITS

Tyutin......23

Girardi.....19

Mara.........8

Staal.........8

Rozsival....5

Malik........2

In one game Tomas Pock had one hit and three blocked shots. Strudwick, in his time, had zero hits and five blocked shots.

LONGTIMERANGERSFAN -

As a Cubs fan you must be laughing yourself silly over the Reds signing that starting pitcher burn-out/injury specialist, Dusty Baker, to a long-term managerial contract.

Given all the evidence - and Baker burned them out in San Francisco and Chicago like nobody else in his time there, this has to be one of the dumbest mangerial signings in the history of MLB. "Affirmative Stupidity?"
