Yankees-Bluejays? I think you're mistaken, Brooklyn Rebel(Rebel? Who's calling who a hick now?). You can't really compare the Yankees and Rangers given that unlike the Yankees, no one in New York cares about the Rangers. Well, you get more attention than the Liberty, I'll give you that.

Trust us, we don't like people calling us New Yorkers either. We'd MUCH rather be associated with Ohio or Michigan, hell even CANADA would be better than the misfortunte of sharing a name with you lot in that downstate cesspool. John Rocker was spot on, apparently.

You can keep Albany and your shit hockey teams, New York. We'll keep our subway to nowhere, our small "hick" town AND our superior hockey club.

Have a nice summer you fucking pigs. Maybe next year you'll get lucky and get to play Atlanta again in all four rounds.

But Buffalo Pundit, the golf writer likes to wear figure skates - it makes him feel so rugged. Hell, does anyone in Westchester even know the difference between skates nonetheless have the knowledge to critique the Rangers second tragic loss?

Only in New York....oops... correction... only in Westchester, NY. Just because you take the Metro North south everyday, doesn't make you a New Yorker. The only difference between a hick from Buffalo or a hick from White Plains is that I don't have to deal with the fools from Buffalo on a daily basis.

This is more painful than watching the Yankees lose to the Blue Jays.

Hey Wieman, how about some witty cracks about the single mother with 6 kids on the New York subway sitting next to the transvestite with pink hair?

You know just as long as we're pissing all over cities, you may as well be fair and balanced.

"Jed Ortmeyer played only 1:34 of the PK. HIS ONLY FUNCTION FOR THE TEAM IS TO KILL PENALTIES AND HE ONLY SAW 1/8 OF THE TIME! Meanwhile, Shanahan saw almost HALF of it, and the only player who saw more was Tyutin."

wow nice catch, Renney is a total idiot

"Yenner, everyone here knows that he wasn’t pushed into Miller. He made no effort whatsoever to avoid him. Come on."

he was clearly pushed in, it is a hot strategy these days because the refs will give the goalie the benefit of the doubt 95% of the time

TIRF - the idiot part of your signage made me think you are not a fan. some of your comments seemed to be more digs at the Rangers and fans - something I would expect out of fishstick fans. Buffalo thoroughly outplayed us in game 1. Tonights game is crucial. We pull it off and the Garden will be rocking for game 3 - plus the ice isn't as good which hurts the Sabres speed. But we have to win tonight to have any real chance.

Yeah, all the Buffalo fans are right, as are the people who are telling it like it is. I give up. You guys can have the series. Might as well make it only one game. And since I fully expected the Rangers to win 16 straight and that's not happening, let's just forget the whole thing and go home. We didn't really play such a great game - in fact, that was probably our team's worst effort since the Montreal game 6 weeks ago - but you're right. The Sabres are just too much. Let's not only throw in the towel, let's start beating down our own team despite the fact that since January 2007 they've been among the top teams in the league and made Atlanta look like the Flyers. And let's also now decide, while the glass is not just half but completely empty, that Atlanta actually wasn't any good, they sucked in fact, and so do the Rangers. The only reason Buffalo had any trouble with the Isles is because the mighty, perfect Sabres just couldn't get up for those games.

Shanahan and Jagr wanted to see how the Rangers would handle adversity because they knew they'd encounter some. I don't know how our team will handle it yet, but I'm sure glad alot of you aren't playing. Then we would be done for after only one loss.

If they can't stay out of the box, they won't win. It goes beyond the fact that you're killing penalties instead of trying to score:

1) When you're killing a penalty, your offensive players don't see the ice. That means Jagr, Callahan, Prucha, etc. - that don't kill penalties are all sitting for long stretches. When they come back, they aren't warmed up and are even more ineffective.

2) The other team, particularly the defense, is fresher. When you have one team killing penalties all night, the team with the man advantage isn't really using a lot of energy, especially the blue line. Then, when the cooled off offensive guys come on, that fresh defense core and fresher team can wear them down.

3) Jed Ortmeyer played only 1:34 of the PK. HIS ONLY FUNCTION FOR THE TEAM IS TO KILL PENALTIES AND HE ONLY SAW 1/8 OF THE TIME! Meanwhile, Shanahan saw almost HALF of it, and the only player who saw more was Tyutin. Even with the decimated defense core, Shanny saw more PK time than almost the entire defense. How did that turn out by the way? Nice -4 Shanahan.
