I want to talk about Bourret. In juniors I think he played as center and as a RW, I think we should develop him as a center for several reasons:

    1. we have very few good center prospects
    2. he is a great playmaker
    3. he is a good open ice hitter
    4. we have plenty of good wing prospects
    5. he is pretty good defensively
    6. he is short and already had at least 1 concussion so it would be better if he doesn’t get hit much along the boards

  2. Jagr’s fault Nylander missed the open net……..

that is the logic most of you use.

  3. Jagr’s fault Roszival hit the post.

Maybe it could be Jagr’s fault that mental midgets like DumpJagr and his posse find a new site to blog at!!!!

That is an idea worth contemplating…

Stuart are you enjoying the game? Your favorite coach and player are doing well, eh?

the only mental midget here is you.

  5. Your posting name say’s it all”Dope”. I have to agree..

Get ready for your shift at Mcdonalds…..

Save up your allowance so you can get an ice cream..

    Mental midget………

isnt this supposed to be chat about the Rangers?! you guys sound like fools

  7. Immonen made that goal happen by winning the faceoff, digging the puck out and getting it to Mara. Immo’s got 2 pp assists the mininal pp time (and icetime, mostly playing with Orr and Isbister) in his three games back from Hartford. I guess Renney will reward Immonen with 10 minutes icetime instead of 8. But no more because of HIS FOOTSPEED.

Shitbistro with a hit OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH BAAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  9. Valiquette showed us all. Fine game after shaky start, also settled down after shaky shootout start. Should be one of three stars.

“Valiquette showed us all. Fine game after shaky start, also settled down after shaky shootout start. Should be one of three stars.”

those last 2 shooters sucked, if anybody with decent hands went they would have scored, Valiquette looked like Swiss cheese.

  11. Valiquette really settled down there. The last half of the third period was great.

I like Betts and what he brings, but what the hell were he and Shitbister doing on the ice in OT. I don’t rememmber seeing Avery or Prucha at all.

  12. I have been posting for the past few days that they will still make the playoffs. the schedule favors them, and the teams above them are not exactly tearing it up.

  13. DUMP: Listen, I’m the team’s biggest critic, but lay down your arms and be happy for the kid.

  14. onecupin67years on

A very Fugly win for the home team ,nothing, absolutely nothing .to talk about.

  15. Absolutely – You have to be Happy for Valley – He had alot of pressure on him – never been in an NHL shootout

  16. they stole that game. After all the heart breaking loses they finally stole one.

    Yeah BABY…………………….

    WOW

  17. Nice no call on the high sticking to Nylanders face in OT.

How much blood do you need to lose to get a call????????????????

  18. Sometimes it takes a Fugly win to get things rolling- One thing for sure – no two goal lead is safe in the New NHL

“DUMP: Listen, I’m the team’s biggest critic, but lay down your arms and be happy for the kid.”

I am the biggest critic, I was banned from like 6 message boards for my criticism.

  20. DumpJagrDope on

Valiquette is not a kid, and neither is Isbister, but that is what MSG is selling them as…

  21. As an outside neutral observer, it’s amazing that no-minds like DumpJagrDope bother to exist, other than to obviously get his/her jollies trying to antagonize. Then again, I also wonder why any of us even pay attention or respond. I know this is suppose to be a place to exhange thoughts and ideas but please make them more than pure nonsense. Like Chardkerm said, I’m glad Valiqette showed everyone because I know firsthand that he’s among the best people/teammates you could find and a tremendous standup guy, win or lose. (and I’m not related to him, either). The Rangers could do a lot worse than Valley, so it’s terrific he got his first win. Now all the doomsayers can go back in their caves for a few days. Hopefully Dump does just that — dumps himself there permananently!!!! And that — I promise — is the last mention of him/her from this outpost.

  22. Sanford was the one who was swiss cheese in the SO. he did not stop a single shot. Prucha fanned on his, and the other 3 Sanford looked like he had no clue on what the rangers guys usually do.

  23. Sam- please have Renney give his brilliant explanation as to why Prucha who cant finish for his life shoots before Hossa who scores almost every time in the shootout

  24. like junkyard dogs they beat sanford and sons, sorry jd gray du, your now an enemy go home with the blues….Is MESSIER GM yet? …Is JD PRES of the NYR yet? …

  25. DumpJagrDope on

Wow Valliquette beats one of the weakest teams who just had a bit of a firesale and were also playing their backup, so now he is God

  26. Longtimerangerfan on

    Go NYR

Prucha was one of the best in the shootouts last year…hopefully he will get his touch back.

  27. Re: Prucha before Hossa.

ESPN had an excellent article about the shootouts. It was actually three articles: goalies, shooters, and coaches. Coaches tend to have a random approach – relying more on players’ enthusiasm or gut instincts rather than a set formula. Since Prucha is naturally effusive, while Jagr and Hossa are more reserved, Prucha seems more confident that he’ll succeed. So Renney, like most coaches, rewards eagerness.

Wow, DJD, you are a jerk!

  29. I am glad when teams blow 2 goal leads because they try to sit on it and play boring trapping rope-a-dope hockey. it serves them right, whether it be the Rangers or blues or anyone else.

  30. I know the Blues just had a firesale, but last I checked, they came into the game on a pretty good streak. Not to mention, they just beat the islanders in overtime after being down 2-0 pretty much the whole game. Give credit where credit is due! i didnt get to watch the game, but it seems like Valiquette turned things around after the first and we were able to win the game. I know he isnt a great NHL goaltender, but come on already and give the guy some credit. If we would’ve lost, then i can understand everyone not liking him, if he gave up four or five, i can understand the negativity, but he kept the rangers in the game, gave them a chance to win and they did.

  31. Mr. Pack, you had me till this, “Now all the doomsayers can go back in their caves for a few days.” Can you honestly follow this team and not be a doomsayer?

DUMP: “I am the biggest critic, I was banned from like 6 message boards for my criticism.”

Well, I guess you win. BTW, I’ve heard people over-injecting the word “like” when they speak, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone actually use it in their writing. How like old are you like?

  32. DumpJagrDope on

Sorry, but I rather not see Valiquette in net ever again. I felt like any shot could beat him easily. And the Blues streak goes back to before their trades.

dude, did you just like diss me or something? not cool, I am like totally upset now.

  34. DumpJagrDope on

When it come to surfing Valiquette is like a hero to me, but when it comes to goaltending he is like Allah, makes me want to like strap a bomb belt around myself and like pull the the trigger, that would be like the ultimate high, dude

  35. doomsayers? please. what do you expect, you want us to be the Ranger city dancers with pompons cheering every loss??

4 playoff games, not one single playoff win in 10 years and you want pollyanna fans? please.

  36. Dump – you probably were banned more for your foul language than any viewpoints you have. funny thing is you seem to be proud of it.

cant wait to see what they give Carpy after all those years covering the Rangers……………maybe a solid silver knife and fork from the press room………
