Greetings from the Wachovia Center, where I made a wrong turn while walking in this afternoon, and nearly got swept up in a sea of vendors clocking in before their shifts. Hence, if I don’t file any reports after this one, it’s because I’ll be making $5.25 an hour tonight selling Flyers foam No. 1 fingers.
Anyway, another loose atmosphere outside the Rangers locker room, with much of the media and staff more preoccupied with the Yankees’ hitting woes than with tonight’s game. At one point, Rangers play-by-play man Sam Rosen walked out of a room, shook his head, and said, “4-0 Tigers.” As an unabashed Yankees hater, I started laughing, but Rosen wasn’t amused.
Beyond that, not too much to report just yet. As expected, Karel Rachunek has recovered from his charley horse and will be playing, meaning Darius Kasparaitis—along with Colton Orr—will again be a scratch. In fact, the Rangers are employing the exact line combinations you saw on Thursday night.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot. Otherwise I’ll try to check in between periods.
